Nah I have the 4 cylinder model... otherwise I would of snapped that up straight away.

Do you think it could be modified to suit as it looks like it could work, all it needs is a sort of L shaped piece on the end without the pod.

but I honestly believe @ some point electric blowers (turbo housing) types will be common.

The only thing that has held them back has been the electric motors themselves, with brushless dc motor tech getting better and better and more affordable I don't see why it can't be implemented in some way.

Some of these brushless motor can spin to 80k rpm in less than 1/2 a second.... that could be some very quick boost.

Altho still no where near tru turbo spin speed...

I'd say the biggest limiting factor right now might be our dated car batteries.......

electric water pumps 20yrs ago was called loony...... electric power steering 10 yrs ago was insane...

Actual turbos are extremely efficient, think about it, it is using waste gases to effectively create more power/efficiency, why would you want to create an extra load on the vehicle in order to create power?
