Hey guys, I'm looking for a set of the TRD front and back brake kit for my 2007 aurion sportivo ZR6, does anyone know how I can get my hands on them besides finding some from the wreckers?

Posted

There were a few sets for sale, but have all been sold. Wreckers are a very slim chance, but probably your best.

They go so fast.. I called Toyota spare parts today asking for TRD brakes and they said we can't order them unless you provide us with a VIN number off a TRD aurion :/ it's so rare finding some at the wreckers..

Yea that's what he told me.. I'll just keep searching I guess hopefully I'll come across a pair soon. I've also been searching for brembos but I don't think they make them for the aurion

My dad owns a mechanics shop so we usually get parts dirt cheap. I'm been looking for a new brake kit also with bigger calipers so I might give them a call and here a quote

That good man, your car is looking sexy! Well if you can find me a pair also that would be great :)

Anyone tried putting the Kluger calipers, rotors and pads onto an Aurion? Apparently they should simply bolt on. Could be a cheaper way of getting a bigger set of brakes installed.

That's what I heard.. I have to do some more research about the brembo brakes for the kluger

Posted

Brembo's have to be custom made to fit our aurions

Do you know how much it will cost and where abouts I can go to get them custom made buddy?

Rebz, Luke told me you are turbo charging your car, when is it going to be finished?

Let me know how it goes

The Kluger brakes are a more viable option as they are a vast improvement and quite easy to source.

Yea I will try to get my hands on them :) I'm going to Queen Street customs next Saturday for my coilovers and camber kit I'll ask them if they can get a kluger set for me

Thinking of eventually doing the same with the Kluger brakes. Will that require anything like engineering certification or similar? Any impact on insurance?

I will find out next Saturday and let you know..

I know the TRD brake pads are slightly larger than than the Kluger pads. however, im not sure of the spacing of the caliper/carrier bolts and if the Kluger calipers bolt up to the aurion.

They 100% do bolt up.

I'm pretty sure the kluger brembos bolt straight on the aurion with only small adjustments

Sounds like one to add to the list!

Would the Kluger brake upgrade fit the Camry like the Aurion.

Posted

I'm pretty sure it would, the camry is so similar to the aurion, my typhoon cold air intake is for the camry and it bolted straight on with no adjustments it fit 100% so I think the brakes should be the same
