I found these pics of a TRD 2 door, must be a photo shop. I like it, what are your thoughts.

It's 100% a photoshopped image. Look at the B-pillar, they didn't even bother moving it.

Was the USA 40 series made in a 2 door ?

No, the XV30 Solara was the last (and both Solara generations had a different body to the Camry anyway)

As above. They did share a lot of driveline components or were interchangable.

I think it would look quite good, minor flaw with the B pillar but some Audi have same sort of thing, it's not as noticeable though.

Looks a bit euro which I do like.

I would of Loved for Toyota to do an Estate/avant version of the Aurion and Camry, I think it would look sick as a wagon.

I have thought about a Ute option to which would look great.

Maybe the people that are good with Photo shop could create one?

I'm not good with photo shop, I mean if I had it to play around with I could work it out but prefer to be out in the car.

There was a photo around a while ago that someone photoshopped a Maloo rear end on to an Aurion.

*edit* Found it.

would you buy it if they made it FWD still ? :P

I wouldn't buy it if they put a 2GR-FE in it. 2UR-GSE, yep.

No photo shopping here, this is the real deal from TRD USApost-14194-0-62465800-1436103676_thumb.jpost-14194-0-06297300-1436103731_thumb.j

And it's a Camry 😔

Yeah I'd still buy the TRD ute if it was FWD, Would prefer AWD, and if it's TRD wouldn't it have the 3500SL (what ever came with the TRD) in it?

Manual would be a nice change too.

Having said that, I'd still prefer a Wagon.

I actually contacted Toyota in regard to making a ute or wagon , and they came back with you are the first person in 9 years to want one there for there is no market for one, my response was I want one therefor there is a market

It's a one off only.

And it's a Camry

You put up with those kind of things when it's a RWD coupe with the TRD NASCAR V8...

Haha, if you went to a weekend carpark market and you were the only person there, it wouldn't be a market, it'd be one person in an empty carpark ;)

The cost to develop and create a short run is shockingly expensive, so it's best left as a lotto dream (Hey, I'd take it on if I won lotto, I don't want to buy a high end sports car that costs $5k for a simple service and is allergic to speedbumps :P )

I understand this but if they made them I bet you a million that people and not just me would buy them.

I'd buy a fleet of them myself, I think they would look amazing

A FWD Toyota ute would sell about as well as a Proton Jumbuck...

Posted

Yeah I know but still people bought them.

I would prefer AWD, not 4WD on demand like in the new rav but a real AWD system.

If it was me,

ATX: FWD 3.5L V6 in Sedan, Wagon

Prodigy: FWD/AWD 3.5 V6 in Sedan, Wagon and Ute in AWD only and some upgrades as standard.

Presara: AWD 3.5V6 Variable Vaine Turbo In Sedan, Wagon

Sportivo: AWD 3.5 V6 Variable Vaine Turbo in Sedan, Wagon, Ute

TRD: AWD SUPERCHARGED 3.5 V6 in Sedan, Coupe, Wagon, Ute

If it was me we'd have the MarkX instead of the Aurion :P

I think the new Camry is out version by the looks of it.

I don't know if anyone has seen it but the velfire and alphas look pretty sweet, have lots of gadgets too.

It kinda like a nice tarago

The Camry doesn't come with a RWD supercharged V6 though :P
