I got a CV boot replaced under warranty. Nowhere near as bad as that but still a big clean up job considering how clean I like to keep the underside of my car.....

Did you have coilovers installed??

You're on D2's right? How low is the car?

CV's have a tendancy to go more quickly when the car's been lowered (or in the case of off-roaders raised).

the car is low....but the wheels dont rub or anything..

the coilovers have been on for just over a month.....do they go that quickly?

Certainly not in a month ! It's more a gradual thing over a bit of time.

maybe when they installed your coil overs they cut the CV boot by mistake

Wouldnt leak straight away then??

So if the cv joint was making the noise i was hearing...does that mean its ******???

If so...what are the consequences of a ****** Cv joint?? apart from the cost of replacing it of course..

Toyota is actually going to have a look at it on Friday morning...

they will then decide whether they can repair it under warranty...

the guy told me its not always the fault of the suspension...so before they can decide if it can be done under warranty..they gona check it..

so yer lol..waiting in anticipation.

i would think it would have been the opposite...as they CV's wou;dn't move as much so less strain on the boots...
