What's the model number for the TRD Intake you're getting quoted for? It's a very good price landed.

the model number that i got is:

PT901-17802-01 (for 2003 ONLY TOYOTA MATRIX 2WD)

the part number from http://trdsales.toyota.co.nz/ is:

00602-17802-001 (for matrix/sportivo)

are they the same??

also... i heard that many of the cai bracket wont fit on our car, even the ones from TRD wont fit. Except the ones from CES... why is that?!

and 1 more thing.. there r 2 different intakes for 1ZZ and 2ZZ from injen or aem.... are there 2 different ones from TRD??

Just letting you know that www.toyotaterritory.com has TRD CAIs selling for US$242 = AU$290 (according to the eBay convertor. Is it worthwhile getting a competitve quote from them? Postage is unknown.

Either way, their price comes out cheaper than the eBay site...

Wasnt this a major issue when the bitracer (i think it was bitracer) that tried to organise an AEM CAI group buy from the states?

Tempted to join this GB however, i may be giving the car away to my younger bro later on this year......

Are there really any benefits installing a CAI on an auto?
