  1. Calipers look awesome mate! I was going to do mine gold or bright orange (be different) but now thinking black. Peter. P.s. come out to the meets. :P
  2. Watch out mountain drivers, Simon's got low!
  3. John, PM me! Sharing is caring and I won't tell, PROMISE! :D
  4. Looks the goods John! Does it feel great after doing some DIY'ing? I'm guessing this is keeping your mind off choosing your next set of wheels? :P HAHA Hahaha Charlie! Nice going for the WeaponR; it just looks wicked! Let me know how it goes, but I'm assuming it will fit although it is for US model. :)
  5. You're one crazy mofo! But I like..
  6. Looks awesome in the flesh mate! Now to get really noticed on the track, beat some Rex's! :)
  7. Nice choice on the EP3R! More unique than DC5R/S, EK9 etc IMO! I'm sure you'll have no problems making this even more awesome. The guy I bought my evo rims from had one of these (white too); dumped on TEINS coilies, gold Works (as I recall) with Kumho semis! No pressure mate.. Peter. P.S. great to see I was close on the 8MR suggestion..hehe
  8. Haha I told him to get those plates ages ago! Update, nothing special, Vinh helped me install my headunit! :) As mentioned in previous post above, we were not too sure about how to install the actual camera (method-wise) to the boot.. so we played it safe and will wait for Jay to come back from his holiday. Anyway after that, gave her a good clean and clay! BEAU results; haven't seen her that clean! Thanks again to Vinh for the help! P.S. we should really start a ZRE Shop! Haha Thanks for looking! :) Peter.
  9. Nice work mate! I just did mine last week!
  10. I'll meet you there at 6 Lee. Let me know if anyone else wants to go with Lee & I, I'll check this thread before I head off later. :)
  11. Says the guy with a house already and a kid on the way! I can photos for you but have to wait for a good day. It will be raining heaps next couple of days (80mm I think they said). No John, you haven't missed anything. Nothing special as a turbo setup or anything; don't get too excited :P lol. I'll post up when I get decent photos! :) Regarding the rear boot, tried to install it but it was a bit confusing, so we played it safe and didn't end installing it. Twins?
  12. Tash is coming! So if you're free, there isn't any reason why you can't come. :P As for me, I'm still pending; just saw this now.. :o I travel 1hr to see these boys almost every week, they just don't have the balls to return the favour as much JOKING! Once I know, I can lead you there Lee and Mick, and anyone else from the east*. Peter. *conditions apply, service might be provided in reward of food.
  13. Welcome Dean! Good luck with what you're getting. If you want a ZRE, Peter (Dutchie) in SA is the man to go to! :) Peter.
  14. Hahaha I thought you already made up your mine when you were down here in Melb?! :P If you want my opinion, PM me the couple of wheels you're deciding. :) NICE RAY! How did you go? And how did you go compared to cars in our class?
  15. Since you said it, now I don't have to keep my mouth shut! Lovin' it Pete? :P Like others have said already, money can be spent better on something else. Money you said was an issue, definitely save it then and buy something better. In my opinion, get a cold air intake; it might be twice as much but at least 10 times more enjoyment than a canon. I personally do not like when I see cars with a canon on the road, for many reasons I will not say. And please do not take it personally, I'm just offering my opinion (like the others) and do not mean to offend you in any way (just to make that clear). End of the day, if you want one, no one can stop you because it's your car, and you decide what look what you're after. :) Peter.
  16. It's good that the ZREs have 5 stud pattern. We can get all the wheels from evo's, dc5's and most jap cars! Hehehe. :D I'm pretty sure a few of us ZRE owners have stock alloys that might be up for sale soon (a few come to mind at first thought). Just wait and see; Don't rush into buying wheels, as it can determine the style or unique look you want to go for afterwards (racer, VIP, JDM etc to name a few) and it's a slightly been investment (cost of wheels and tires dependent on your wants/needs). Good luck! Haha Peter.
  17. If you got what it takes and can be bothered, do DIY CAI; could be cheaper, power has not been proven for ZREs. If you just want something that you'll know will fit out of the box, go for 1. INJEN CAI - keep INJEN filter and see how you go with engine light. (Yours is '09 so might be okay) - buy 3A filter and wack it on instead of INJEN filter. 2. Weapon R CAI (Has not been confirmed to fit) Check the ZRE FAQ thread. :) Peter.
  18. no sorry, mine is already like that.. so its not unique :P yeah.. think its time to start saving for a house.. nah f#ck it Hahaha you just copied Vinh! :P But yeah, was going to remove 'Corolla' badge today, just a pain to clean! Weight reduction?? New sig? It's been a really long day, will add more later! A nice bromance day with Vinh.. :P HAHA Peter.
  19. Charlie, you already know what I think of your car! ;)
  20. Hahaha nice work Lee! Looking awesome as per usual! Peter.
  21. 09 ZRE, 31xxx kms.. :( now 42xxx kms.. :( :( Yeah those taxis or work vans are crazy in kms. Was looking for an older Hi-Ace for my uncle not long ago, found some with 999,999kms...
  22. I let you guys know when I install it. Final exams are over, have started work already but progress on this car has dramatically slowed down. Going to put money aside that will go towards my house.. Maybe little details here and there. :) John, not sure what to do regarding the badges now. As you know, was thinking about spraying them back but thinking maybe just remove 'Corolla' and leaving the ZR badge, make it unique and apart from the other 50 billion white commercial Corollas out there! Haha Peter.
  23. Watch this post, I'll confirm but I believe it should be the same, 5x114.3 stud pattern. Peter. Forgot to mention I got one of the current Corolla's, not the earlier model. If that helps. =S Haven't confirmed yet, but it is 5x114.3. Reason being, one of the guys on here has a sedan (HungryforaRolla) has wheels given to him by a friend who has a hatch. Any Corolla manufactured after 2007 (preface ZRE) to current (facelift ZRE) have the same ZRE152 chassis and same 5x114.3 stud pattern.
  24. That sounds weird because, all of us ZRE boys have disconnected our batteries for longer than 30mins (installing CAI) or for resetting ECU and we have never got that on our headunits.. CHA54 is right, just to prevent thieves but I haven't seen or heard of it on ZREs before. Easiest is to go to dealer, should be a single override consisting of pressing series of buttons. Peter.
