Silver-Aurion

Not my car, but kind of my car :) Serviced my relo's Sportivo. Far out, the last service was 10,000K ago. The oil came out absolutely filthy. It was like they filled the car up with coke, it was that bad. Needless to say, an oil filter change and Penrite HPR5 fixed that.

I just did a google search "BP Ultimate" and my thread comes up on the second page. Wow, must of had a lot of hits.

Now I know I said next oil change I will use the Fuchs GT1 PRO C3 and this oil change would be the final oil type that will be used for the rest of the life of this car with me. Well... didn't that plan change. Today I wanted to do my oil change and instead of going down to order some of that Fuchs, I decided to change my plans. I am now using Penrite SIN 0. I hope I made the right choice. I was tossing up between this or Mobil 1, but in the end this was my final decision. I'm still a little concerned with it at the moment as per my following quoted post, but I guess I will see how it goes: Woohoo, welcome to Penrite mate. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy that we are both using Penrite in our Aurions I was going to go for the sin but that would have broken the bank, also, my next scheduled oil change is April next year so not long left until I need to drain the oil again so no point in buying expensive oil only to drain it again few months later. Please keep us updated how the Aurion drives with Penrite Sin. :)

I GOT NEW RIMS FOR THE CAR lol, okay not really. We've had these rims in our shed for like two years, and we finally cleaned out the shed and found these. Just put it next to the Aurion to see how the car would look with something better than stock rims

hi everyone just for the record it was the vvti controller luckily i paid for extended warranty, in the dealers now will let you know how long it takes Please keep us updated, and exactly what you said to the dealer to get the vvti controller replaced.

Did they even ask permission to use your pics? Nah, I only noticed because one of the AusCam members pointed it out to me. The only thing that really bothers me about it is that it's such an old photo...! That's pretty awesome. What an honour it would be for you that your car is good enough to be front page on a car site.

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Melbourne, only 20 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. So perfect weather for washing the car, not too cold and not too hot. Gave the whole car a nice wash with heap of suds, then attacked the engine and cleaned and washed that out. Then I went inside the car and pulled the whole bottom back seat out, and vacuumed then spray and wiped and vacuumed under the seat again. Then tried out my new meguires classic shine spray on dash and trim(damn it smells so good) and a very thorough vacuum and then wiped down all windows and tyre shined the wheels. A great car wash to compliment it's oil change a week ago.

Then it's not the VVTI controller? I'm guessing your car already has the newer VVTI controller since your car is a 2010 model. I'm confused now. I'm guessing the dealer just pulled that thought out of there ***** and are going to do a hit and miss on this. If a 2010 Aurion is doing it, which I'm sure has the new VVTI controller. It has be something else?

To be real honest, I want the red back. This grey, well, everything decides to blend into each other and it's making the site a bit confusing. But yes, the search feature has finally been fixed to the way it really should be. :D

I'm so glad you are not going to tarnish the look of the TRD. Keeping it looking original and the way it's suppose to as a 'one of a kind' car.

Here is my stupid question, when locking and unlocking the Aurion, does the beep beep sound come from the same speaker as the horn or is it separate?

I complained to my dealer about the bright light and was hoping to get a new CD player. Apparently the new ones are not as bright. But my dealer did not budge. I'm going to try another dealer next time, see if they budge. That bright light is still annoying me even after owning the car for almost a year now <_< Oh yeah, before you ask (everyone does) there is no dimer to reduce the light.

Well, I had mine replaced few months ago, and it was the best decisions I ever made. The early gear changes I very much like, I hated how it held the gear for too long on slow acceleration. Holding the gears made for a frustrating drive because the car was so persistent to hold gear when it shouldn't. The kick down (I said this as well somewhere on TOCA, can't remember where I posted it) has definitely reduced, which again is a good thing. It was annoying when accelerating in my winding suburban streets, every time I would hit the accelerator a bit too hard the car would decide to kick down a gear, when the only thing I want to do is reach 50KM/h! I have no complaints about the new transmission comp. IMO, it made the car a much better, smoother and enjoyable drive. Also, I'm sure that slipping gears can't be good for the transmission in the long run.
