It's as the name says a Chaser. Japan only Front Engine Rear Drive sedan - about the size of a camry. The reason it's not sold here is development would cost too much to adapt it to be ADR compliant. But there are a few Grey imports - you just need to look out for them.
Perhaps you can get into contact with a dealer here who would be willing to ship one to you, A good first try would be Penrith Toyota However, there should be an aftermarket parts/accessories dealer there in the States that should be able to source one for you locally.
It was good to meet up and have a few laughs with the TOCAU / Intuition crew. Looking forward to the cruise :) . By the way - Arthurs seat has been heavily policed last few weeks.
Remus manufacture a specific muffler engineered for the 1zz and a different one tailored for the 2zz. That's what makes them good. They're not a generic 1 fits all type muffler, they're engineered specifically for your model car to give it optimum performance..
It's the same 3.0 V6 that's currently used in the Camry and Avalon as far as I know, Give CAPA a call, they're quite professional and should be of help.
Either the 2001 or 2002 Corolla Conquest would be a good car. There are no issues with either vehicle. The New shape is a more solid vehicle and has a smoother and more economical engine. The older shape is still a great vehicle and the engine in that model has a more torquey characteristic to it. Just the usual things to look out for (Accident damage & poor mechanical maintenance).
Yeah well worth it :) Best thing to do for the Remus is find out who the distributor is for NSW and they will put you onto your nearest supplier. Mine was 850.
Sedans look real sleek if you stick to the basics, just lower it and get a nice set of wheels, if you look at kcorro's car, you'll see that he's done just that and the car looks great.
No problem, but definetely do everything in stages as you intend to, as you may find early on you're happy with the result of, for example, just changing springs. Cheers
