  1. Drove my car for the first time after a week in the MX5. Wow my clutch is heavy. The steering is heavy and not as responsive. But BAM torque! How I have missed you.

Told you the clutch was heavy.

  2. That unfortunately happens when people treat the car as just a thing to get them from A to B. :( No care is given.
  3. Now I'm sure TRD au will be like here is your body kit and wheels, thats all we are bringing in. But I'd want something like that! Maybe with a couple of mufflers so i dont get pulled over at every main rd lol.
  4. Out of curiousity do you have after market wheels or non standard sized tyres?
  5. I fail to understand the staggered wheels setup on a fwd...
  6. You can intercool it :D. Just need to use an angle grinder to cut a few things up.
  7. Reset the ecu and give that a go. Otherwise the other 2 cars may have been better maintained, or just had a little tune up service or even had 98 fuel in it. 98 fuel will make a noticable difference.
  8. So you would rather not have the alarm for when you decide to have a kid up the front to warn you that he hasn't put his seat belt on or he has taken his seat belt off? Putting groceries on the floor may help.
  9. I hope he is saying install as free as it is a 1min job. The control itself from toyota is about 500.
  10. Well, the oil doesnt last forever, how would you know when you need to change it if you don't check it? Being an ex-rental, I'd seriously look into changing it soon anyways
  11. I have no idea how a change of the mufflers will cause warranty issues. It's not as though more noise and flow will cause the car to implode.
  12. Not saying it's not good value for money, but if you include the "customisation" needed to fit it after the initial outlay + shipping the value may not be a good. However I'm pretty sure you wont be able to pay the same amount to get something like mine made up. The guys only charged me $65/hr + piping.
  13. Time will tell. Apparently the welds arent that good either on the obx. Mine has lasted 6-7 years now
  14. No spoiler with a TRD bumper looks like a man with just balls. Need something to balance the droopy look.
  15. When i got the exhaust done, it was stock engine wise. The flat spot could be due to differnt lengths between the 2 banks of exhaust.
  16. Just to let you know, they are "TRD" mufflers. Yes they are definitely more expensive than your average joe exhaust place sports muffler but these are from the people that makes them for TRD. Also not sure you realise how light these mufflers are. My TRD muffler, also made by the same people weighed half of what the aftermarket toyota sports muffler before that if that.
  17. Well that cost $220 when I got it done. If I were to get it redone, I would have gotten them to put the flex pipes on it before the hanger like they should have. Power gains, maybe very slight at the top end but there was a flat spot in the 2-2.5k rev range. Fuel economy is never affected directly, just indirectly when you want to hear a bit more noise. ECU was fine with it. But in saying that, my ecu was weird and is fine with pretty much everything even 6psi boost with supra injectors and bigger fuel pump when it should have been running so rich that it shouldn't even be able to idle.
  18. Lol to say all pioneer has alternator whine from a couple of cases is a bit ... Have you using a new rca cable yet? Run it crudely in the car through the ski port if amp is in the boot and see if you got the whine still. Next option is to get a friend with a system that is easy to get to, and test it in his car. Make sure he doesnt have any alt whine first though. I'd say its an amp issue.
