  1. What I'd do is go to Toyota and buy a remote and then get the guys to help you with programming it in. The remote is like $40 max and if you ask nicely the guys usually just do the programming for free coz it takes like 1 min. And here is a link with pics for the headunit install. http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Toyota/PDF/869037.asp
  2. I think I saw superdave's car parked at sunnybank today at lunch time. Not sure coz I didnt get a good look though
  3. 5.5hours down, only 8 hours of work to go woohoo........

  4. hmm you have have a ride in my car if you want. It's got D2 in it.
  5. Well the head unit is easy to do yourself. It will usually cost about an hour worth of labour which can range from $65+. I would definitely do the head unit yourself. Just go to auto1, autobarn or supercheap and get a Aeropro toyota harness adapter. Then it is pretty much a plug and play. To take the facia around the head unit off; 1. Take the ashtray, ciggy plug out 2. Using the ciggy plug hole, and the ash tray hole, you now have something to hold on and just pull it straight out. It may take a little bit of force but the bottom 2 clips will pop out. Then using the middle part of the facia that you have just loosened, pull that part outwards and it will pop out the top 2 clips. Unplug the ciggy lighter. 3. Undo the 4 screws holding the headunit in place. 4. Using your harness you just bought, you plug it into the stock harness, and then into the kenwood harness. 5. Then swap the headunits out and put everything back into place If you are doing it the first time, it may take an hour to an hour an a half. If you have done something similar in other cars or if you are familiar then it'll take like 30mins max. And I thought all the Vienta came with central locking. As a matter of fact every single model of the camry had central locking. What happened to it?
  6. Nearly 1000km - 53L of fuel used. Get your economy on!

Drive from sydney in a brand spanking new Swift. Boring and dangerous on single lane highways.

  7. Why don't you just grab a rattle can and give it a spray of paint. Colour coded cans are only about 15 off the shelf. It doesn't have to be perfect. And the grab a can of clear coat to gp over the top.
  8. The only way would be to do what I said and take the blacked surround out of those headlights and install it into your stock ones. I have taken the headlights apart and its easy. This is what I did to my set.
  9. You will not be able to realign the light spread even if you are to get an auto electrician to re-wire the lights for you.
  10. hmm i need more boost or a turbo... Everyone is getting a supercharger... Oh just to let you guys know. DO NOT expect the power that the guys in the states are quoting. For a manual 4psi - Expect around 150kw atw 5.5-6psi - Expect around 170kw atw Also if you have an auto minus 10-20% off that, AND you will need the EBC and you will still end up killing the box eventually.
  11. There is an easy fix for this problem, but is your camry a Gen4.5 or a Gen4? If it is a Gen4 as per picture then it wont really fit as the headlight/bumper assembly is slightly different. However if you have a Gen4.5, all you need to do is take the halo assembly (the black plastic bit) out of the headlights and out it in yours. It isnt stuck on or anything it just sits inside. To do this all you need is to preheat your oven to about 180C. Turn it off and then chuck the headlights in there for 10-15. This will loosen the glue holding the front lens in. Use a screw driver and gently pry it out. If it doesnt really budge bake it again. Then do the same to your stock ones and put the black surround into yours. Bake the headlights again to melt the glue and then press the finished headlight together until the glue cools and hardens again. Note: The LED isnt very bright and wont fully light up the whole ring properly. I'd change the LED in there while the lights are apart. The LED will die and you will end up having no parkers. There is no way you can realign those headlights unless you do what I did and cut a big hole out the back of it to install proper projectors in there.
  12. Hey Mick, I may require some rattle can skills soon :P. And hopefully my car will be with an lsd by then if not blacked for the cruise.
  13. It isn't suppose to go into 4th until it gets warm anyways. It is normal to stay in 3rd to try and warm the engine up. If you go slow enough it shouldnt even go into 3rd. Have you tried resettinghe ecu. Surge and falters can possibly be a fuel pump/ injectors or something fuel related. Do you get your fuel from he same place all the time? I know there are certain fuels that my car does not like and will stutter.
  14. I will be there. Should I bring more jellybeans? And we need to feed Minty some jelly beans too.
  15. Branno, yours is purple in real life where as Andrew's is blue in real life. The lighting made it look purple.
  16. In which case I would just drive up to Brissy for a holiday and get a custom job done at CES.
  17. Andrew's car is showing its true colours in those pics! Its PURPLE!!!!!
  18. I would have on the first day but it won't fit behind the TRD bumper. .... Though I could lop off the tips. I was tempted to get some new mufflers the other day too. But I resisted the temptation. Yup just remove the tips! As Mick would say, dont be soft! :P

Lol I hope you realise the s13 weighs a fraction of the camry. Also wouldnt all coilovers look like it'll fit since its just 3 bolts on top, 2 for the hub and 1 for the sway bar? And there will be no where in aus that you will find anything that cheap. Maybe about 1300 new would be the cheapest you will be looking at. Gotta pay to play unfortunately
  20. LOL really?! I think you need to at least buy some of those trd centre cap stickers or paint it over. And can you put up bigger pics? I dont think these are big enough.
  21. mmm the colour of those wheels would look the part on my car.
