  1. That is true - plus HID's look good too :D Driveway is the main thing preventing me from lowering, until the council fix it the car's gotta stay at stock height otherwise there'd be no way of getting in or out :(

    AE92 'Rolla

Hey there :) Well you've definitely got a good base to start with - if you're looking for some AE92 inspiration you'll find plenty on here, check out dorifto's and eviltwin's ride threads ;)
  3. Thanks for the link Pete - okay, so another Corolla newbie question: Barb's is a ZRE152? Do the facelifts have a different designation? I'm gunna have to learn more about them as I've been told I am to tell her what to buy Heheheh @ the brake pads, I hope the track day does really awesomely for you all!
  4. Thanks for more piccies Pete - it was definitely a great day! Looking forward to the next one :D
  5. Looking good, the wheels really do suit it :D I love window tinting, looks great and its practical too What's next on the list?
  6. The locusts have returned <_< So I just put the locust guard back on the car before driving back to Bright for the weekend. Also ordered the Ultra Racing 19mm rear sway bar today :D
  7. Good stuff Pete :) Can I ask where you sourced the Cusco bar from, I know you said Vinh helped but where did it come from originally?? We need to get one for Barb's 'rolla :D
  8. Very interesting - they definitely stand out! I am not sure I'm 100% on them but they do look very very nice :D Probably one of those things I've gotta see in person to better appreciate Have a blast at Winton!!
  9. Looking good Mick! I'm with Lee - the old school Recaro is great :D Best of luck getting the roadworthy and rego, I'm sure it'll pass with flying colours
  10. oh dear, just ordered the rear sway bar from the ivy seller on Ebay - there goes this fortnights budget! It will be worth it though :D

  11. Hey Kinezo - have replied to your PM but there are a couple of pics of the scuff plates in my ride thread :) I can take some more if need be.
  12. Fabulous news! :D Goodbye Bimmer, hello an even more awesome Alexia! Best of luck with all of the plans, won't be at Winton (sorry guys, but footy comes first ) so will be watching the thread closely, then hanging out for another meet!
  13. Hi Kinezo - I have the genuine Toyota 'Sportivo' scuff plates for the rear (they come standard in the front but I had to get a pair for the rear). They require removing the old ones and then fitting the new, basically the rears are a longer piece of plastic so they "clip" over the bodywork (I have the old ones in a plastic bag, they are quite long!). I didn't install them though and already had fronts so I'm not sure how they attach, I'm assuming they just 'clip on' as well. But they're definitely worth it, I'm a pedantic clean freak and its much easier to clean footprints off the plastic :)
  14. Technically not today's doings as I'm at work but the car scored a wash including engine bay yesterday, much better looking now! Better pay the rego tonight too..
  15. Why are there banner advertisements for Jeep on a Toyota forum?? I mean a Jeep is nice and all but we're here for Toyota's...

  16. I figured the OEM clutch should still be able to take a bit of a beating, not too much obviously but figured it wouldn't last long if you constantly gave it a thrashing. Needs exedy, STAT. :( The more and more I look at those calipers, the more and more I want them in gold LOL. But I think when the BC Coilovers arrive is when i'd do it. make an uber weekend of it. :P Hahah yes, but the problem is Exedy only make a clutch for the 36 series Camry, not the 40 :( That makes sense, although there's no way I'd attempt installing coilovers. Wondering if I could give a can of caliper paint to the mechanics at the next service along with the rear sway bar, but that might be pushing things a bit
  17. Drags were good :) We'll see about the Camry - if I want a new clutch it has to be made cos I can't find one for the ACV40R, the OEM clutch isn't bad, I just don't fully trust it in that kind of scenario... Calipers look good! How easy was it to do and would I need to do a wheel alignment again after? Also, where did you buy the can from?? I just looked them up online and they do a Bright Gold :D
  18. Thanks for the replies - this is exactly the kind of info I'm after, as there doesn't seem to be a proper DIY on here or much info about doing it. If I search it tells me HID is too short so I've tried other combo's and don't seem to be coming up with anything useful. And obviously if someone else was around I wouldn't have my high beams on. I don't need to use them around Bendigo, but if I'm driving home to Bright of a night time or to my grandparents in Stanley its pretty dark, so anything other than what I've got now would be a definite improvement. Throwing this out there, how about 6000k low beams, then just something like a Xenon bulb for the high beams and fogs? And parkers just the same, a Xenon or some kind of LED bulb. I don't want to have the blue tinge, as I know I don't like it when cars oncoming have the horrible blue headlights, so I've worked out 6000 is as high as I could go and they would probably have a slight tinge to them. Quite like having the foggies on at night to light up that lower area, but I don't use them in town.
  19. is trawling Toyota Nation looking at pictures of Camry's - trying to pass the last hour at work!

    Carbon Tax

Anybody else thought of the correlation between the timing of this announcement and the need to raise cash to fix infrastructure damaged by this year's flooding? I can't say I'll be doing anything other than the usual to 'save the planet' (i.e. turning off lights when exiting a room, washing with cold water) and it certainly won't change my driving habits. If petrol does, and please let it not, reach $1.70 a litre I don't think its going to change many habits as ultimately we all need it to get where we want to go. Look at the price hikes around Christmas, Easter etc
  21. Lol whoops - oh well, the basic idea was there Good on you for being the guinea pig :) Hope to order a RSB next pay day, I forgot that RACV were taking out their money today for the first time <_<
  22. 27th March...track day at Winton Raceway :D And we're working on something for after that too Probably early/mid-April as the last weekend of April is Easter :) (Well, the last full weekend, the last weekend is April 30/May 1)
  23. Thanks Trent :) Not too much will have changed at the annual but it will definitely be shining :D
  24. Well I do have that pic but not posting it, as I didn't bother taking off the bonnet protector. And I don't like seeing the crack in it, makes the rest of Abby look cheap Abby doesn't mind getting dirty, but she is definitely not cheap Hehehehe, fair enough :D Looking forward to the clean dirty pic!
  25. That's a pretty cool looking tow hook :) Lol - I must admit I haven't washed my car yet either.. that'll happen some time over the weekend, probably after another trip to Melbourne, not much point in washing it, collecting more bugs, then washing it again! Although it does appease the vanity factor I have when it comes to the car
