  6. I've never been to them either - could definitely be a goer :) I probably won't be able to have a proper look until I am back home on Anzac Day but they're sounding good to me. Oh no! Why on earth is your university having graduation on the long weekend?? Twits.. Best of luck on that decision, attending graduation is probably the more important thing to do as that really only comes around once. Cheers, I will definitely need the helping hand! ;) :P
  7. Grrr, damn tow balls! <_< Glad you are at peace with it now, I would fully understand the initial anger - I get angry when I see other women walk past my car with those stupid handbags with buckles all over them lol Heheheh, even better to get rid of your own mistakes
  8. Hahah, may I ask what prompted the change of heart? Great news on the coilovers, hope to visit Pedders one of these days myself :D
  9. Heheh, how very patriotic of you :D I wish Toyota still had the really bright colours too, their colour choice is a bit boring these days for the Camry's and Aurion's :( The cyber green would look great all polished up too (detailing freak is very happy when she sees other clean cars!) What are the plans/thoughts for the new shoes?
  10. Thanks so much Davo, answered all of my questions again perfectly - I am going to have to try both the SRP and EGP as well as the isopropyl, although I'm a bit scared about it showing up all the defects! I haven't actually used Quik Wax but I like the idea of using it on the wheels, you are full of tricks :) Sucks big time about the rear blemish, my heart is broken for you :( All the best though in getting it fixed quickly, and I guess a full respray is a great way to get rid of any little defects you might have had :D Wedding date is ace too, March is the best time of year by far :D
  11. Alrighty since none of you lazy bones has replied I will start working on some ideas over Easter :P Reckon I will look up some past threads for ideas on meeting locations, otherwise I'll just get out the good old Melways and guess!
  12. Ahh, very very clever then :D I'd definitely want to follow up with EGP then - especially if they are the results!! I like the idea of it being the last layer of protection but could you still layer it like you would with wax? Or would you not bother? Could you say use a normal meg's wax after the SRP and then put EGP on top of 2-3 layers of that?? Although if the EGP is lasting a lot longer it sounds like you don't need to layer it at all and could just maintain it by using something like Ultimate Quik Detailer/Quik Wax. Lol, I am planning a pretty OCD car treatment soon, even going to hire one of those carpet steam cleaners and do all my upholstery (still yet to find an interior upholstery cleaner that I like). I have never done an isopropyl wipedown before, what materials are needed to do that? Just the wipes or getting a product of it and applying with microfibre?? Congratulations on the wedding! :D Have you set a date yet? The outside of the car looks fantastic so definitely nowhere else to go there ;)
  13. Hahah, that is just brilliant! :D
  14. I just want to say a quick thank you to all for the vote of confidence for me to become a mod - I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to lend more of a hand where I can :) Has been a while since I've been a mod on a forum (ran my own several years ago if anyone ever heard of The Kath and Kim Domain ) so as Daryl's noted please be a little patient while we get the hang of it ;) Congrats to the rest of the new moderators appointed as well, all very well deserved and we now have a great spread across the forums with majority of states/locations and car models covered :)
  15. so CBF today, bring on the long weekend - I am totally over my job!

I agree with you on the job. Mine has gotten out of control. They keep getting rid of field staff and replacing them with desk staff. FFS.

And yeah, you can toy around with each others accounts for practise. Don't worry if you stuff up because I can fix it for you.

Hehe yeah, just let me check my diary John ;)

I hear you on that Daryl, with this govvy stuff they've done much the same and outsourced a heap of stuff and its all gone to sh!t. And of course its always people like you and me that have got to try and pick up that slack *sigh*

  16. thanks Tash, i credit the gloss to my new autoglym SRP/EGP regime.. that stuff pwns meguiars for durability... havent touched the paintwork in ages (apart from weekly washes) I am definitely going to have to get more into the Autoglym product range then methinks.. :D What are the steps, wash, clay, SRP/EGP and then wax? Or is the EGP the wax? Must admit I know very little about the Autoglym range but love their bug remover and have also tried their wheel sealer/cleaner in a can with pretty good results.
  17. Hey Scribe - I'll echo the replies of the others above, never too late to buy a Toyota or see Australia :D I reckon it sounds like a fabulous idea, and as Vey has said please keep us updated and share photos of your travels! :D
  18. Hey Rohan - best of luck with the rego, once its on you'll be loving tripping around :D Please share plenty of photos!
  19. Welcome John - I don't know that we have any other members from the Caribbean? Unless they are just lurking Can't say I've ever seen a red chaser either, looks pretty sweet! All the best with both rides :)
  20. Hey Ben and welcome :) Sorry to hear about the RAV falling through but you'll be very happy in the Aurion :D Whereabouts in Gippsland are you?? We try to hold regular meets in Melbourne every month or two and a few of us travel from surrounding areas to get there.
  21. +1 on the stock bar - massive 'facelift' improvement already :D You're really getting a move on with all of these parts too, have fun over the Easter break!
  22. :o... Every time you update your thread it just gets better! I love this Aurion :D It just looks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good Loving the epic gloss too!! :D
  23. D/W about the rear plate - you'll get used to it, I thought the same thing when I put my slimlines on and a few people also commented that way, in that there is a lot of surrounding space. But I love them now and the way they look so the gap doesn't look odd to me anymore :) When gold is polished and waxed and sparkling believe me, people won't be paying much attention to the space around the numberplates! Good luck with the parkers too, unless you have very small hands the best bet is to take the front bumper off, which isn't actually as scary as it seems. You just have to be careful when it comes off not to let it go or pull too far because of the fog light cable still being attached, so you just need to unclip that if you want to move the bumper further out of the way. There are a few how-to guides on here, if you do a search they should come up, I'm sure it was Daryl (DJKOR) who made a thread in the Aurion forum that had some pictures in it. I'm at work atm but can have a search for you when I get home tonight.
  24. Yep my first thought was Inferno in colour too - if that's the case I don't recall seeing another Inferno coloured Aurion on here. It's a nice colour but imo looked better on the Camry than it did on the Aurion, but of course I am biased Still looks great though and uncommon too which is always good :D Another one of those colours like Cyber Green and Aurora Gold that were only out in their early years of production, which is a shame because Toyota don't have such a big colour range anymore for Aurion's and Camry's, especially for bright colours. +1 to all the mods everyone has listed already, wheels are always the biggest instant face lift and there are plenty of choices out there. Best of luck whatever you decide to do! And please keep the pictures coming :D
  25. Great looking plates Alex :D Definite shame that you're not some kind of immortal though Hope to see this up at the QLD Annual meet, although I have a job interview tomorrow and if I get the job I won't be getting the leave :( (4 weeks notice to current job would bring me to end of May, can't expect to work 1 week at a place then take 2 weeks off... ) But if that's the case I will come up later in the year instead! That way we can take lots of pictures, drag Steven along too and get 3 gold cars together :D
