  1. Definite WIN on the plates!! I know I've said it before on this thread but I'll say it again, the black headlight surround is hot! So dw, the 'dodgy Nikon' pics came out just fine

    Peter's Aurion

Hey Peter - very very nice looking Aurion, the chrome grille really works on white :D Best of luck with the upcoming works!
  3. Hehe - it does look slightly familiar! (thinking one JDMST meet I went to as I was in Melb that weekend) Good work so far :D Speaking of meets, whilst Reece gets his 30+ car one organised you should come to our May meet :) 22nd, still working out details of where to go/what to do, need you Melbournites to name some good places!
  4. Damn you are a monster tease! Am echoing the sentiments of above, crikey this is gunna look the goods when you're finished, the shot from the back is great :D Looking forward to catching up in May :)
  5. I'm not a big Ford fan but man that thing looks beastly :D I really like the decals on the sides too, just adds more to it and sets off the white better, great looking ride
  6. Lol! Brilliant :D When you say DA Polisher, which brand/model exactly are you using?? Very interested in getting one of these for myself.
  7. Hey TEE - do you have any pictures? Unfortunately as johnnie has mentioned it is basically one of the worst things that can happen to paintwork, and unfortunately if it has eaten into the clear coat then there is little you can do to save it. I've got an etching on the roof from before I purchased the car and unfortunately it just won't come out, all I've been able to do is minimise how bad it looks by using some abrasive paint products such as Meguiars Ultimate Compound. If yours has cracked the clear coat though there's not much you can do for that other than for the panel to be resprayed. If you don't want to do that make sure you keep looking after the paintwork to lessen other contaminants and try and minimise more clear coat failure.
  8. Hahah well yes you do owe and yes, you are a show off :P Alrighty then so Sunday May 22nd it is, I will get rid of the poll and we'll put on some serious thinking caps. Is there a park close to Duy's family fish and chip shop?? Could cheat this time and have every contribute some $$ and just put in a big order and eat in the park, and just BYO drinks again. Will still be Autumn but some April days have been cold so no idea what the weather would be like. Garage Cafe is closed on Sunday's so if the weather forecast looks no good is there another good location with plenty of parking we could sit, eat and chat? Then maybe a short cruise somewhere for some afternoon photos and break off. TBH I don't think I'd be up for a cruise next month as there's a bit on, so my vote is for just a general catch-up style meet.
  9. Massive WIN :D They look fantastic - would definitely make all the waiting worthwhile!
  10. Even worse is when it looks like they're passing each other and they just keep swapping places but never get far enough ahead of each other for you to make it around them <_<
  11. These are going to look H-O-T :D Can't wait to see them on the car!
  12. Heheheh - glad to have another gold owner on board, they look marvellous :D Completely agree with your comments above about it changing colour in the sun, have you had an overcast day yet?? The colour really pops on overcast days too :D I hope the plates arrive very soon in the mail then! Pics please as soon as you get them :)
  13. Pretty mixed date range here! Struggling to think of which one to pick :) Looks like the weekend of 21st/22nd is the goer, now to decide on a Saturday or a Sunday meet-up. Any thoughts yet on where to go/what to do?
  14. Very important family committments too! :D We totally have to have a BBQ or something later on so you can introduce us all to the new bubby
  15. Hey guys. This pinned thread will be the Victorian thread for future meets from now on. If you would like to organise a meet, please let either Tash or me know via private message and we will update the first post as soon as possible. This will keep the "Upcoming Events and Meets" as clean as possible. If by any chance you make another thread by accident we can merge the topics to this one. Please note: This thread is only for people in TOCAU who are organisng the meets. If there is an external meet, you can make another thread outside this one. Kenshin and Tash out Great Ocean Rd. Cruise and BBQ Sunday 16th Nov Depart 9am, from Shell (2 lt. boundary rd, laverton north) cnr princess fwy. Cruise on great ocean rd. Planned BBQ at Lorne. PM jeffy if you guys wanna come so we can get numbers for food. Cheers
  16. +1 to this - I have been looking forward to this for months :D And am also looking forward to checking out Brisbane again, I have not been up there in about 8 years. First page plans look great, especially Saturday - afternoon show and shine is excellent too, plenty of time to get everything looking spic and span! I have just applied for another job so am hoping that doesn't throw a spanner in the works holiday wise, fingers crossed it won't :)
  17. A bit late but a few days ago the car had a service and Green SMD LED's put in the interior, no door lights though in the car :( So I will have to work out some sort of lighting arrangement for the floor/feet. Also had the Ultra Racing 19mm rear sway bar put in at the service, initial feelings are great but have really only been through roundabouts in town, waiting for an opportunity to do some more spirited driving. Also with benji's help took off the front bumper to suss out the grille, can't mesh it myself without some angle grinding action to a donor grille so will look at importing a mesh set from the states one of these days I guess.
  18. Very very very nice :D Loving the red and black (I'm an Essendon supporter) It looks very mean from the back with those tinted tails
  19. Certainly a good project at any rate - not too many limits with where you can go with it and you've got a pretty good blank canvas to start off with too :D Any thoughts on what colour you'd do the respray??
  20. Very nice! I'm guessing silver is a fave Any upcoming plans?
  21. Hey and welcome :) The stivo is very nice looking - they always look great in silver :D Seen quite a few Starlets around done like this, must be something popular to do that I'm missing Any mods for the stivo??
  22. Very nice car, love the colour!
  23. so the car is booked in for a service on Thursday and I've asked them to fit my new Ultra Racing rear sway - they ask have I bought bushes for it? Any suggestions on brands etc? Or using the stock ones? Any info greatly appreciated :)
