  1. And THAT . . . is where it is at ladies and gents. Plenty of different setups to meet plenty of different needs. I have a Koni/Whiteline/Strut/Rear Sway/Camber Bolt combo, and I could not be happier. Horses for courses.
  2. 1973 Honda Civic 1981 VC Commodore SL/e 2003 VY SS Ute 2005 Corolla Sportivo
  3. Rims look awesome BKS. I might be a little biased toward the whole light car, dark wheels thing though. . . B)
  4. [starts masturbating vigorously] YUSSSS!!! in reply to the original post, drifting is just as gay as the V8 supercars, there fore drifting V8 supercars would be about as gay as a 100 man daisy chain. One word . . . . . . LAWL!!!!!!1
  5. Pretty much spot on dude, not 100% of people (I spent the entire trip to Sydney and back behind my old man in his Avalon, and I can assure you that there are some people who don't ever even REACH the limit, let alone speed :D ) but I agree, it would have to be in the 90's as far as a percentage of total drivers. Another option of course, is to take it to the track, get it out of your system, and learn a bit about controlling the car in the process. And if you do choose to do the wrong thing, be aware of the consequences, and be prepared to accept them. Simple. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to slow people down, and I'm sure we all agree the one TOCAU event we wouldn't want to attend would be a funeral for a member . . .
  6. I always thought a good comeback started with actually reading the posts you were coming back to? A saint? Hardly. Can you show me where I said that I never speed? Can you show me where I said I was innocent? I made no such point, the point I made is that your posts make you look/sound like an idiot, and that is no-one's fault but yours. Might be best to actually read my posts before trying to think of a comeback, you'd be amazed at the difference a little research makes. I stand by my comment that 100k+ in a 50 zone is lunacy, I don't care what your street looks like, but I'm sure it looks better without your sportivo wrapped around a tree/pole/child somewhere along it. What makes it even more stupid is that your bragging about it on a public forum. "Got Lift" on my avatar is a dead giveaway, your right, the Corolla in that pic was doing about 200kph just before that photo was taken . . . Gran Turismo 4's Photo feature and the Nurburgring are great fun, but nice try all the same . . . ;) Once again people, I don't give a toss what you all do behind the wheel of your cars, but bragging about it on a public forum? Anything else? No? kthxbai.
  7. I know of a brand spanking new 05 Sportivo for sale, still sitting at the dealer . . . tempting
  8. Confirmation in writing that your more of an idiot that previously thought. From what I have heard, you would have trouble driving your thumb into your posterior . . . let alone controlling a car at 100kph+ on a backstreet . . . You obviously haven't had any issues with dental floss just yet . . . I cnt wayt tyl yew smsh me 4 ths pst . . . eyem lking fwd 2 eet.
  9. Get in touch with the artist formerly known as Rollamods mate, word on the street is that he will sort you out for alot less than $240.
  10. Gunmetal Rays Rims? That could well have been me. Just not sure what bridges I crossed . . . Sydney is a little confusing for us simple folk from the north . . . (hee hee, North and simple in the same sentence . . .)
  11. It's only an issue if you expect people to understand that you are making a joke. Words on a page without punctuation or grammar are very easily misinterpreted. Spelling on this forum should not be an issue, notice those little red lines that appear under your words? That means you are doing it wrong. If that's too hard to understand, maybe cut and paste your post into word and let the program do it for you?
  12. Correct, but there isn't one of those running around Bathurst with the V8 Supertaxis. It may be a very old cliche, but "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday" is alive and well in this country. I have owned Commonwhores, and prefer my Stroller, but I am not the majority (unfortunately for TRD).
  13. And therein lies the problem. I have said it before and I will say it again . . . Australians love a high powered rear driver. Personally I believe that the TRD Aurion is a great car, but 240kw through the front wheels was never going to hurt Holden or Ford, and Toyota know it!
  14. ................................................................ no offence to you either, but the crap that comes out of your mouth is bloody retarded. how you didn't learn a lesson after driving your car through a wall is beyond comprehension... i guess that makes me retarded then, me and the other 1500000 or so speeders in australia including you. havent seen you in a couple months but your 1st post is to flame me good for you. Just full of wisdom at this hour aren't you mate. Let me get this straight, your saying because I own a sportivo, I speed? Why don't you give Tony Lewis (Head of the Maroochydore, QLD traffic unit of the QPS, and one of the people who convinced me to buy a sportivo) and ask him how often he speeds in his Sportivo? Pm me if you would like his number, he is one of my customers. Maybe you would like to have a chat with Jeff (doesn't want his surname published) who is the head honcho at the Alderley Police complex in Brisbane, also a Sportivo owner . . . (once again, pm me if you would like his number, Im sure he and Tony would LOVE to have a chat with you). I think calling yourself retarded is a bit of a self-upgrade. I have seen plenty of physically and mentally challenged people who can not only structure a sentence/paragraph and punctuate better than you, but they also have a much firmer grasp on reality than you seem to. Whatever it is that you are on tonight that you are not sharing dude, its time to step away from it.
  15. even if u were to nmae a place and time of an offence they cant convict you, so does this mean they all bout your highly defective stivo that cant pass an emissions test?........... Tell that to the guy in the Silvia in Sydney who got the proper liberache treatment after bragging on a forum. Spillage, I'm sure Billy Boy is well aware of what his car will and won't do in relation to emissions etc and he would be under no misconception as to the possibility that the boys in blue know all about it too, he's giving you advice that may just save you from making even more a fool of yourself, why not take it? jc u know what a joke is? im sure xoom knows it was a joke, he has my full support and respect so relax alittle jc.... Mate, I'm as relaxed as they come right now, that I can assure you. I'm also well aware of what a joke is, I just didn't see one in your post. Maybe you have a personal joke with Bill, in which case, great, there should be more of it. Read your post again and tell me where exactly there was anything in the way of punctuation, emoticons etc that eluded to the fact that it was a joke? Not having a crack mate, but it could easily come across as a well placed barb to anyone who only has words on a page to work from. I'm sure the correct spelling and punctuation will assist with getting your point across. As for the speeding question, maybe best to leave that to msn.
  16. even if u were to nmae a place and time of an offence they cant convict you, so does this mean they all bout your highly defective stivo that cant pass an emissions test?........... 17. Why not just get another ciggie lighter cradle from Supercheap or similar and wire it up behind the dash (under the shifter cover). Took me all of 5 mins and 10 bucks. Spent the entire last week with my sisters Tom Tom plugged in, wire routed out through rear of glove box . . . no issues whatsoever (except for the husky man voice that she wouldn't let me change)
  18. This man speaks the truth. Guys, seriously, have we not seen enough threads from other forums that have led to people ending up in the poo with the po po?
  19. Sounds like we have a punter who has never driven a Sportivo . . . Economical? I've done 2500km in the last week on approx 2.5 tanks, I reckon thats pretty economical. My suggestion . . . Do it, and do it any way you can mate. The two cars I owned before the sportivo were both V8's, VC Commodore with around 400hp and an SS Ute with about 230rwkw . . . Nice cars, but they just don't come near the Sportivo as far as fun factor, practicality and Bang for your Buck. Just ask the two young fellows in Brisbane tonight who pulled up at the next light in a stock VZ SS Ute demanding to know how much boost I was running . . .
  20. Spotted a Pre-Facelift Black Stivo with a Tien sticker on the back window, looked to be lowered with nice rims and I'm sure I also saw eyelids . . . on Creek Rd outside Westfield @ Carindale today. Anyone from here?
  21. Congrats on the win Dave. I see you also have "proof of power" . . .
  22. A more true comment has never been made. changing my parkers well and truly qualified as a skin tearing, knuckle barking ceremony . . . .
  23. You could be onto something there mate, not 100% sure which way I'm headed at this point.
  24. Just pondering mate, I wasn't expecting it to be that cheap.
