  1. I haba sumting belly special for yew misser North . . . . . See you all tonight.
  2. Looks like the price of "the bargain of the century" is being inflated by some trigger happy bidders. Its gone up $250 in a day. You guys do know that the only time to bid on ebay is in the last 10 seconds don't you? Just wouldn't want to see you all go trigger happy on the bidding only to inflate the price un necessarily . . . . . B)
  3. Anyone in Brisbane keen to enter this? I know its classic stuff, but given that they had cars as young as 04 last year I cant see any reason why not . . . .
  4. I think everyone is jumping the gun a little with their critisism. Let the show run a season first. I didn't mind it, but I thought they were trying a little too hard on the humor front. Its not like every line that comes out of their mouth has to be something funny, but it seemed that was their intention. In relation to the comments re: It being an exact replica of the UK program, we need to consider the terms of the "franchise agreement" etc that would have to have been signed to allow use of the Top Gear name for a show here. Look at how successful the original is, and look at how inept the Poms think we are over here ("just a bunch of convicts" remember). My bet is that they were given a very very very strict set of guidelines as to how the show should be presented, which is why the studio is an exact replica etc. Its better than anything else I have seen on Australian TV re: Cars, and I think over time as we stop trying to compare the guys presenting it to JC, May and Hammond, we will probably start to embrace it a little more. Agreed that the similarites make it difficult not to compare the 3 with their UK counterparts, but I think it will grow on us. Re: The Holden and Ford thing, Its an Australian show, what did you expect?
  5. Yeah, JC's clutch needs adjusting too, probably should have warned you about that one Uncle Bren . . . . Tyres are nicely "bedded in" too mate, cheers for that. The invoice is in the mail :D Love the "battle" story too, seems old matey bit off a little more than he could chew eh?
  6. makes me wonder what else you have in that player... B) It's big, black, loud, fast and needs new tyres... ;) and it makes the perfect trolley for shopping at Bunnings... What else is in the pod? Mate, if I told you that, I would have to kill you. And yes, I think I recall showing everyone how the Holden has a handy handle for pushing when it breaks down. :P
  7. Same. When are we measuring this stuff up Bren? Signed, Guineapiggus von Crouchenhousen

    Not bad for a girl's car . . . . . B)
  9. I wont be out tonight kids. But my car will . . . . . . :( A full report on the SILVABULLIT's driving style is required upon your retunings . . . . . :P Prepared to pay for stories of him "bedding in" my new tyres.
  10. It's big, black, loud, fast and needs new tyres... ;) and bigger brakes :P How soon till it's lapping the National layout at QR? Probably soon after they finish building the trailer he is going to need to carry the auxillary fuel cell . . . . . . . :P
  11. Have you contacted QLD transport yet? They are the only ones that are going to provide you 100% with the information you need.
  12. If you have provided him with a roadworthy, he has paid the cash and you have given him the receipt, then the sale is complete. He then has 14 days to register the transfer of ownership as far as I am aware. I am not 100% sure on this, but I think you would be better off contacting QLD transport on this matter as they will be able to provide you with the correct information. The other option is to tell him to go away or you will report the matter to the police, as far as I can see, you have done everything right, and even given him more with the gearknob etc, so I would be telling him to take a running jump.
  13. How can you NOT dance to a song like that? Keep your ears open for a new dancing song next week kids . . . . .
  14. It will come loose with a bit of wriggling mate, mine was pretty stubborn too.
  15. Mine is secured with 2 strips of velcro tape, doesn't move an inch. B)
  16. Thanks for the heads up mate. I will bring spare undies . . . . . :D I better put some on just incase... ;) Trust me, you'll need them. :P
  17. Thanks for the heads up mate. I will bring spare undies . . . . . :D
  18. I think its just getting to the point where they could be driving anything at all. A good customer of mine is one of the head honcho's at the Alderley Police complex here in Brisbane. I got a bit of a guided tour a few years back when they were kitting out their brand new VE's (marked cars). In the space of 15 mins, I saw everything from Aurions, VN Commodes, Honda Accord Euros etc etc. Hummers is certainly a new one, no doubt that will catch quite a few off guard. . . :o
  19. Not wrong there mate, I would love them a little darker. Wonder if there is anything along the lines of those Optical Glasses that go dark when your out in the sun, but are light at night? :P I guess we could always paint the inside of the headlight ? Hee hee, why the hell not. lol. Looking at that pic now (pics dont load at work) that looks like something you could almost get away with, then again, all it takes is one unhappy copper and your wearing a canary.
  20. I haven't got a set of these myself mate, but dont they come with the bits that you need to adjust the height? Shouldn't take you very long with a jack and the height adjustment tool. Either that, or Im sure there will be plenty of willing helpers in Sydney that can sort you out. Congrats on purchasing the apartment. Give me a shout if you need a hand with the Finance, Im a Home Finance Manager with Westpac. Even if I don't look after you myself, if you need any advice or even if you just want to keep your bank honest, give me a yell.
  21. Agreed, but I reckon you'll find you can get away with a 215 tyre if you choose an offset of +42 or +43. What you will also find with a sportivo is that it will fill the rear guards out slightly more than the stock wheel, so you get rid of the anaemic rear wheel look. Edit: Sorry mate, just read your post properly, you said superlows, and Im only running the equivalent of Lows, so you would know more about what your talking about than I would. Dont mind me, I have one eye on the footy. . .

  23. I'm pretty sure you will find that anything that alters the headlight lenses in any way will be illegal. These are all governed by the relevant ADR's. If your wanting to tint headlights, your best bet may be to obtain some covers, tint them, and make sure they are easily removable in case you are harassed. Needless to say, take them off at night.
  24. Finally got around to taking a better shot of these rims on the car.
