Hi Michael, when first purchasing our Presara I looked into lowering it and did a lot of asking specialists and online searches as well..in the end the final decision was made by driving it..seeing how many speed humps and obstacles there are on our roads in our suburbs and shopping centres and decided it was low enough already..as I would rather see a small gap in the wheel well than having to dodge or swerve around speed humps to avoid the bottoming out scrape as the car hits something If your determined to go ahead I would really really do your research and then decide Tony's links do give an insight into what is available and I am sure others will throw their advise in as well on this subject Keep Safe KAA

Thanks Tony I did think you had mentioned the product so was checking..I am fortunate enough to have about 8 different size brushes from wheel and arch ones to alloy wheel ones and 2 i use only for leather,gained over the years when we did the garage cleanout i found 4 i had lost somewhere were all the lost socks go..so they are still in packaging and have the points and good quality brushes so they will now be used to replace the used ones that are near the end of their lives..have ordered the ceramic now from Car care and yes good pricing from what others want for it Thanks again mate appreciate it KAA

COVID has taken over all the news in the world but did hear a few talks about climate change with the massive California fires currently roaring over there..plus the number of hurricanes hitting the south east coastal areas of late..they actually ran out of names for them and will start using the greek alphabet soon for further ones so as we know well things have certainly changed so lets hope this summer isn't a repeat of last christmas new year..the local fire crews have been doing a lot of burn offs here on the central coast of late so fingers crossed👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🤞🤞 Stay Safe KAA

Well said Ash, it is something that has to be sorted out and should have been sorted out NOW..so many would have sold their car on to avoid any issue or just dumb and didn't even bother checking if they were affected KAA

Exactly Tony, Massive repercussions for Takata, world wide lawsuits world wide recalls.. I agree any who have not bothered even checking if they are required to do a recall should be fined..imagine you have sold your car on privately and then the new owners have an accident and are killed or badly injured by the faulty airbag that you couldn't be bothered getting fixed..it shows the laziness or total lack of any empathy some have for their fellow man KAA

I assume the pain will eventually fall on Takata, but initially will be the car manufacturer who has to wear the replacement and service fees..but I am sure they will do all to recover those costs..I am surprised so many have not brought their cars in to have the airbags done already, I mean it has been in the news for ages about airbags and the deaths caused..reading the article they have until December 31st to have them done or faces fines..hmm KAA

To each their own when it comes to cars, some just use whatever is available to do the job others choose to pay a bit extra to use genuine or close as possible to genuine..it always is a personal thing or driven by money..as my wife and I are retired now days..money is always tight..however "She Who Must Be Obeyed" set up a car account many years ago..we place some dollars in it fortnightly to cover expenses like services, tyres, green slips, emergencies etc..I choose to use genuine parts and good quality oils & filters, as this car is to last us till the pine box lid is nailed down..if you choose to go genuine..you know it fits perfectly and like all Toyota parts is guaranteed..sometimes it can be a learning curve when buying overseas, yes it can be cheaper but then some fit and some are rubbish..I am sure what Tony was alerting us all to is how to tell the difference which will at least help when buying overseas goods KAA

Ok I agree to disagree..fuel like a lot of things relating to driving comes down to the driving style of the person pushing the pedal and holding the wheel..yes better fuels do help the performance of the car to some degree, i never use ethanol based fuel and use either 91 or 95 but then it comes down to prices and what you can afford..the main thing is how you use your car..if your a lead foot and throw the thing around naturally your economy will be rubbish..if you just cruise (as many on here are of the same mind as me) you are a careful driver and barely use the horses under the bonnet your economy will be excellent..the main thing to always do is maintain the beast well..use top quality oils and filters. Funny thing Tony I was watching a few Youtube Videos last night..Pan The Organizer is one of my favourites as he always provides excellent tutorials..I had watched one a while back on OPTIMUM Car Care Products..and yes looks amazing stuff..I am not sure price wise how it stacks up but as you now have that one maybe a video or some pic's of how you found it would be worthwhile..your the man when it comes to products so will take your word for it when it comes to a finish it provides, but anything that saves a full wash I would think would be awesome Keep Safe Mate and Thanks for the video links KAA

HI ZZ, When they did the recall for faulty switches on our Presara I was told it was a fire issue with the switch causing spontaneous fires, and all they did was either replace the switch or inspect and regrease the switch itself..I have never heard of a window switch issue on the 50 series..so as Tony said I fear you will have to do an inspection as it sounds a weird fault for the window to do that short of an obstruction issue.. Let us know what you discover mate KAA

Well done on saving him Tony, he knows that your always there for him..we need more love in the world these days more than ever..being thoughtful being respectful and being kind to others ..as my Dad and Father in Law are both passed now I miss the days of hanging out with my dad, tinkering on cars chatting and having a laugh..I so badly want things to ease so my son can travel down to see us..so once again I can have those memories again Keep Well Mate KAA

Hmm as Tony said strange that the blind button is missing, what is in its place just a hole?..it is for the rear blind feature..and as others have said to buy from Toyota would be expensive..and as long as you still have the wiring in place try a wreckers for one from either a Sportivo or a Presara..it is a very useful feature to keep the sun off the back seats and speakers when lucky enough to be out and about ...Let us know how you get on KAA

LOL ..well I am sure you will use them eventually Tony..that or open an Oil store yourself LOL..we are like minor birds ..anything bright and shiny must come home..I am avoiding SCA and AUTOBARN on a self imposed exile..as I have cleaned out about half the garage now and actually have space to do stuff and i know if i visit either i will fill that space again LOL Hugs Keep Safe KAA

Yes that is called hoarding mate..LOL.."She Who Must Be Obeyed" and I have done very little travel as well..but I have found the fact we are not doing much driving has allowed me time to potter about on the car..detail work mostly..passes the time gets me out from the 4 walls and as the wife is into crafts allows her the spare room to play in..she was making masks mostly for ones who didn't sew or had little money to buy them..but that has died off now so we are saving the dollars and dreaming of a road trip..so as I have a decent oil supply now i think next will be an oil change..just in case a miracle happens and we can actually escape Stay Safe KAA

Thanks Tony, Yes I was amazed how fast it removed the spots and dull swirls from all my windows, i always kept my wiper blades clean and always have a new set in storage in case..but these dams dull spots had me beat..i also did the stainless steel exhaust tips with it and boom perfect..was very therapeutic as well taking my time and just watching them shine up like new..so "She Who Must Be Obeyed" went with her friend to Bunnings to get some plants and bought another can while there for the shower doors as you showed in the attached video..so I am sure that will keep her occupied this afternoon cleaning them.
