  1. Ash as always a wealth of knowledge ..Thanks mate..certainly as always it is budget based but makes sense to start at the back and work forward as dollars these days are hard to earn Keep safe Mate KAA
  2. Thanks for the video Adam, has a nice sound and looks good mate, Keep Safe up there in my homeland.. Stay Safe KAA
  3. I agree with Tony, a lot of those service centres are doing all they can to recoup lost income by ripping off wherever they can, and your post Chris certainly shows that well. I would never ever return there..and I would also write them an email stating clearly what happened and keep a copy of it, if you have a local newsletter I would send them a copy of the email and any reply you receive..alert others about what they are doing, wont help what you have had to fork out but at least will get the word out about their practise Keep Safe KAA
  4. So did your mechanic actually do a wheel balance when he did his check over?..if is as you said uneven wear then a wheel alignment is in order as well..the Aurion has a natural slight pull to the left so many on here have noted that I am used to it now and i get a wheel alignment at least once a year when I have my inspection for rego..as we are barely driving the beast now days it has allowed time to give it a good inspection and love it deserves, so I did the tyre rotation and so far tyres are wearing evenly on our Presara..hope you find all things get sorted soon so you can truly enjoy the experience of owning an Aurion KAA
  5. LOL I will admit i wear a porkpie hat or a cap usually every time i drive, 1: It does add to the style of what I drive I feel...2: lack of hair on the skull and with the sunroof open lately it stop me getting a sunburnt skull..3: It confuses the Volvo or boy racer types..and 4: "She Who Must Be Obeyed says I look wonderful in a hat So as she is my world I follow her advise on all matters..well at least she thinks I do KAA
  6. Ok so when you have those numbers Ash just secretly message me mate..😉..I spoke to our son in Queensland last night..he is able to work as he is a plasterer and has enough to keep him and his employees going..however we miss him and the grandkids and they miss us..life has taken such a u turn this year so a lotto win would be nice to just boost the spirits..lets all keep our heads up think positive and hope that by Christmas something..anything ..changes for the good of all, we are a great country and we can get through this..time and doing the right thing unfortunately is the only answer now KAA
  7. LOL .....Funny thing is I had a similar experience..Finally "She Who Must Be Obeyed" said I may be Peter Pan in my head but the body was not living up to flying about anymore, so as I am wanting to live I told her YES DEAR..i will just be the mature husband and keep the Peter Pan part of me limited to how I enjoy life The Boy racer in me is very tame these days just the odd moment every now and then where it is more about getting well away from an idiot driver who is in my vision, which is why I have only ever lost 2 points in a driving life of 44 years..hmm damn makes me sound old, but years of experience does count for something Keep Safe KAA
  8. Not just you Ash, my boy racer loud car days are way behind me, I love the quietness of my Presara, I am into comfort, quiet, music, and sleeper power these days. Nothing better than pulling up beside some young boy racer with his head thump thump music going, tinny rumble from his exhaust as he thinks he has got you sorted and then ZOOM..leave him in the dust when the lights change..mind you only up to the speed limit..but fast up to the speed limit..LOL Keep Safe KAA
  9. Thanks Tony, hmm they look good so will be interested in how you feel they perform..I know your judgement is always a good guide..so will keep an eye out for the test results, by the way how long did they take to arrive at your place? Keep Safe KAA
  10. Welcome to the forum Steve, As others have said your new Toy is a great model enjoy KAA
  11. Welcome to the forum Billy, Hope you enjoy the forum KAA
  12. Thanks heaps Matt, I will look into it can't hurt, and if good will make night reverses of my tricky small driveway a lot easier Keep Safe Mate KAA
  13. Michael this is what I found for NSW as far as modifications ..street rods etc I know NSW Police even though busy with COVID are still hitting over modified cars as we saw Police and RTA guys going over a Commodore yesterday with measure sticks etc https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/registration/get-nsw-registration/modified-nonstandard.html Hope this helps KAA
  14. Thanks as always for the research Ash, it always makes life easier to know what is what Keep Safe KAA
  15. Same here ZZ..I have used Nulon for years and have always found it a reliable quality product and yes Aussie so an added bonus KAA
  16. Yes thanks for the pic's and info Matt appreciate it, if you get a chance please let me know about the fitting and type of the reverse lights LEDs, and I agree with Ash about the Light Bar superb for spotting the wildlife well in advance Keep Safe KAA
  17. Ahh glad i wasn't the only one who enjoyed a lovely day nap, and hopefully no rain tomorrow as i had planned on another good foam cannon play day..plus have to get the deck cleaned while the Karcher is out, may even get "She Who Must Be Obeyed" to come out and have a date at the coffee shop near by for an escape from the walls so come on SUN stay out.. Keep well guys stay safe KAA
  18. Yes I agree traveling our countries highways and byways at speed with dust dirt etc would make me feel worn out and tired and require a refresh, glad you at least got to get away and escape the walls..Both "She Who Must Be Obeyed" and I have been doing short drives to just escape usually to the ocean front which is close by here and many options of places to just sit and soak in the beauty..but we both would love to see family in Queensland and Victoria..however life is way more important and we both will just remain locked in until it is safe to do so. The SCA Tyre Shine I applied about 3 weeks ago now still looks awesome for such a damn cheap price, so for now will use up the 2 cans i still have before investing in something to fill the dusty space on the shelf Stay Safe KAA
  19. Thanks for the video Ash, perfect retrofit has always been my concern, If I am going to lay out money for a product I want a perfect fit and long lasting quality, Most globes in my Presara are already LED inside the cabin..have never looked at what is in the rear tail lights as they always seem bright anyway..only things I would like is the brighter Reverse Lights without having to go to the expense of adding a LED bar..thanks again for the info I have seen several Youtube videos talking about rubbish LED globes that are circulating out there. Keep Safe KAA
  20. Yes exactly what i need but cant afford or have space for in my yard..thanks Ash..I just slowed down hand up to cut down the blinding glare and swore very very loudly Hugs and Keep Safe KAA
  21. I agree with Tony about the Lumen levels of LED headlights out there..some just plug them in not putting in mind the adjustment needed so as to not blind us coming the other way..I almost had to stop on the highway 2 nights ago because i was temporarily blinded by some idiot in a huge 4 wheel drive with leds pointed straight in my windscreen..I am though interested as i said about reversing lights, I did look at the site you posted Matt..by easy fitting what did you mean? just plug in existing slots? KAA
  22. Looks Good Matt how about taking some Pic's for us to see how they were fitted and what they look like, always interested in better reverse lights as backing down my driveway at night even with the rev camera is a nightmare Thanks for the info mate KAA
  23. Welcome Michael, You sure are a lover of Toyota and their quality product, enjoy the forum and a lot here to assist should you need advise KAA
  24. I have the same opinion as my compatriots on here, I have only ever used lower viscosity oils in my Aurion, usually it is 5w-30 full synthetic, I have used 10w 30 a few times over my years of ownership but mostly because i see specials and buy enough for the next oil change..so like Ash and Tony I would not use 15w oil even though the Aurion can handle it well..go for the best quality you can afford and these days they are often available on special buys and just keep them regular. I hope you found this repeat of other comments useful and keep asking any questions as someone will usually have the answer for you Keep Safe KAA
  25. Interesting post thanks Stephen, I tend to use mostly 91 or 95 if the price is good..I have never used 98 as it was always so overpriced and i don't use a lot of right foot, I noticed the difference obviously of the 95 when on the highway on long trips..but as we have all been driving way less and any interstate trip is a long way off I mostly use the 91..I have only ever used the cheapest E10 unleaded once..when having no choice but to use it or run out as all the higher pumps were empty at the only petrol station in a small town, so put in enough to get me to a bigger town and then filled up on the 95, using 91 I have never had an issue the car runs like a swiss watch always so to risk 91 I doubt you will have any problems. Keep Safe KAA
