  3. Welcome to the forum Dan, As you see this is still a very active forum especially with Aurion's, I am sure if you play it right you can win the wife over for not telling her about head unit coming LOL but in case keep the car fob handy for a fast escape LOL Many here have already have thread's up about head units they have including me, however I left it to the experts as playing with electrical these days and computers is well out of my league and not wanting to stuff anything up. Let us know how it goes and good to have another Aurion lover in our forum mate Keep Safe KAA
  4. Same here Ash, enjoy the time seeing my beauty age well, and then see what is around to ease me into my old age, while I watch the bonfires of Hyundai's burning in the streets as their engine systems blow up 🤣😆🤣🎆🎆🎆 KAA
  5. Michael the advantage of using a dealership for servicing is the warranty, I am sure most dealerships want to do the right thing for their customers, you bought their product and have the vehicle warranty and also they want you to continue to buy their product so out of all the options using Toyota to service your car while under warranty is your best option. However you can always do some research about good mechanic's in your area. I have used the same mechanic for over 15 years in my area, the main reason was I went to him with a huge issue he went out of his way to help me, even costing himself money to attempt to fix the problem and being a family operated business all his staff and family made us feel wanted and respected. You can always then go to them after your warranty is done with or if unhappy with Toyota you have a fall back but do your research thoroughly ask questions lots of them about the mechanic etc So my advise is yes give them the opportunity to look after you, let them know of your concerns and that you EXPECT top notch service right up front don't pull any punches and see how they treat you, you have rights and you have protection under their warranty, let us know how you get on mate Keep Safe KAA
  6. The old attack the customer routine is common practice, that tells you all you need to know, as Ash and Tony have suggested, as it is under warranty and there fixed price services cover all the main things go to Toyota. Many now are trying to grab back money lost while under lock down, they forget people will remember who does it and who didn't when all this calms down. KAA
  7. Yes Ash well said, I too will be treating our lady to lots of TLC..she has lasted well and age isn't depleting her beauty and class so she will last a long time yet KAA

  13. Welcome to the forum Michael, will be happy to hear of your experience with you newish Camry, many brilliant minds on here will always assist in any way with any questions. I am sure the fuel numbers Toyota give is for longer commutes but as many on here are not lead foot drivers or have been stuck to short local trips for the last year the numbers your getting are pretty accurate, I know in our Aurion Presara we get around 11.5 - 12.3 per 100K Keep safe and Enjoy the forum mate KAA

  19. WOW Miks, Firstly good to hear from you, I would suggest that SCA is the responsible party as they are the company you went to for fitting of the unit even though they placed it in the hands of a contractor "ANDY". It sounds like a complete stuff up from the word go. He should never have taken on the job by the sounds of it, from what you described he seems to have bypassed something while stuffing around with the wiring I would get a better opinion from a specialist. I used Monster Car Audio when we had our Presara's head-unit replaced, so perhaps a few call's to one's that specialize in fitting head units I heard from someone there is a company called Extreme Car Audio or similar name in the Blacktown area that is pretty good. I honestly can't see how the job which is usually plug and play could have got so screwed up! I would start first with SCA and see what they are prepared to do for you, and then be prepared to take the matter further if no responsibility is forthcoming Let us know how things are going mate and I am sure others will give their advise as well KAA
