  1. You can, but the amount you can upload is limited, and there is a slight glitch that may make this limit kick in sooner than it should. Considering that I don't think this site is hosted for free, I can't see this being fixed anytime soon.
  2. Not much found underneath the carpet unfortunately/fortunately (lighter, lol). If you were to add a decent later of Dynamat though, you could get away with removing the layer of felt stuck underneath the carpet. But as said, it can be tricky to try and cut out the drone with such material. Reducing it so that is is a little quieter would be possible I'd say, but for the cost involved, you would be better off with fixing the exhaust.
  3. Just in time mate. -DAvo upgraded to a Pioneer AVH-P4150DVD headunit in December.
  4. Well maybe you should. It's not rocket science. Then pay to become a Silver Member.
  5. According to this specification press release for the pre-facelift Aurion, towing capacity without trailer brakes is 500kg and with trailer brakes is 1600kg. http://www.pressroom.com.au/newpressroom/t...06Aurion/30.xls
  6. Exhaust drone can be tackled with the right muffler/resonator combination. Can require a bit of design and or costly trial and error though. Are you rear mufflers round or oval style? Round ones tend to cause more drone than oval, but it's all part of the overall design however. Yes you can attempt to soundproof starting by laying the entire floorpan etc with some sound absorbing material, but I reckon that for exhaust drone, you may need quite a bit of it which can be costly as well. Both options can be costly either way and may not guarantee a fix. So I guess it depends where you want to spend your money.
  7. Do you know how to surface mount solder? Because once you get your dash apart, this is what you will have to do. It's not particularly hard, but for beginners I would highly advise practicing on old circuit boards first because if you lift a track, you can easily ruin things. An expensive dash cluster is not something you want to break.
  8. Welcome mate. Make sure to check out the FAQ's as well to start getting ideas on what can be done to your Aurion. Where are you located?
  9. Ok correct me if im wrong, but the atomisation of the fuel is determined by injection pressures and injection spray patterns. As far as i see it, a blatant lie or false advertising. Aside from the fact that "vortex" probably wouldnt make it to the combustion chamber in the first place. If anything i think it would hinder the atomisation of fuel within the combustion chamber. Yup, atomisation of the fuel is done by the injectors, not the air flow. It goes to show that they can sound like it's all technical etc, and still manage to catch a fool. Of all things, I would expect this to reduce air flow to the engine.
  10. It's a bit of old news and there is quite a bit of discussion over on the American boards (the only country where this problems seems to have occurred). I personally think the occurrence wasn't really that high and was caused by people putting all-weather mats on top of the standard mat and/or not using the clips on the standard mats. Then it got blown out of proportion by people getting into accidents and using a stuck accelerator as an excuse since it was an ideal blame. Then the media got a hold of it and this is what you get. That's my theory anyways as crazy as it all sounds.
  11. Bugger. Because when I got mine, it was at the same price that is currently on their site... $323. Oh wells, I'm not complaining. Best money spent on this car for sure.
  12. Look at the attached photos in both threads. You will clearly see two fuses. One labeled 'Radio No.1' and another labeled 'Radio No.2'. I think that explains itself.
  13. Look here to get an idea. Bth show the engine bay fuse box and interior fuse box: Headlights Fuses Lighter fuse Found doing a search for 'fuse'. It helps to think outside the box.
  14. Cool story Hansel.

Thanks, it will look about 100000x better when i give it a bath. What... pedobear?
  16. Where do you think you got your new Varex control box from with blue LED on the remote Ash :P? VF-X: You can simply run two mufflers off the one remote control box. The relays in there are good for 10A and if you split the wiring close to the control box, the short length of standard wire up to the split will be more than enough to handle the extra current load. If you get the oval one, you will have a rough time on a lower Aurion.
  17. I will still eventually get it and at least trial it out just to see how it goes. It would probably be best that I didn't have it because it's getting to the point that I am realising how useful it is to slide the rear when doing a mountain run. Sliding and mountains isn't the best combination.
  18. I think for maximum benefit he should add the electric supercharger. Using this in conjunction with it ought to bring in some extreme airflow that can put an expensive turbo to shame. What makes me facepalm even harder is that he purchased it then asked if it works.
  19. I think I just have. I always clean my engine bay, so I'm already ahead of you :P. By the way, my car is always garaged as well when I'm in Brisbane. Anyways, like -DAvo said: That said, I'm ready to accept defeat in your argument. Besides, I'm not here to impress people with how clean my car looks . As for what I did with my car today, I gave her a natural wash (after washing it properly on Monday). It keeps raining in the evening here.
  20. I'm prepared to LOL again if he makes claims that he put it on and is getting better fuel consumption/more power.
  21. Is it the same as what was discussed here?: Cartoon Cars? I think it was concluded they were "pixel cars".
  22. you wont its still too hot and this is even worse with the intake. so dont feel bad. you got that time in winter I got a 14.24 last time as the sun set and it was still rather warm then. As well, trap speed was still high showing that power wasn't really affected by the temperature difference. I have come to realise that launching off the line perfectly is the key to getting a good time. If I can manage this well, I reckon it wouldn't matter if it is summer or winter when it comes to beating my time.
  23. That's good to hear since the only time my car goes for more than a day without me driving it is when I'm away from home. I guess an isolation switch would be a good idea for it in cases like that. I'll probably end up getting one (larger of course that is the minimum rated for what I need) just because it's something to do I guess. Main reason is so I can get some ducting up to my intake because the battery in there at the moment is massive and blocks the only possible path to bring some ducting in from.
  24. I've got video but can't upload from my current location thanks to 3G internet, but here are two runs that I captured. Both times, it was Julez in the left lane.
  25. Cool. You've got a Braille battery. How well do they work. I'm thinking of getting one since I don't use accessories with the car off and was wondering if they last and not randomly die or anything like that.
