  1. Looks like the Adidas made body suit couldn't handle this: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  2. Tsk Tsk. That is just p*** poor. You won't be getting any praise from me by cheating. The only weight reduction that I would approve of when doing a stock drag race, is removing your spare wheel and jack. Either way, that's just my thoughts on the subject. You do whatever you want'
  3. Yeah, it tends to do that to non-Silver members. Just go to a website like ImageShack, PhotoBucket, or TinyPic and upload your images to there. Then you simply paste in the link to the jpg upload like such: [img=http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/144/1260587928762.jpg] To keep this thread in order... more bandwidth usage for you all: This photo was taken by a member on the boards by the name of "oso-dvs" during the 2009 Annual Meet in Melbourne. And this one was taken by "«®olla™»" during the same meet. Then the Tangcla shots of course. And a picture from a while back that shows just how nice and clean my car used to be. Long live my Sony CyberShot DSC-S70:
  4. Top stuff mate. I am looking forward to hearing more specifications about the turbo job if you ever disclose it. This. Now bow down to the turbo ZRE
  5. Yes I'm referring to that clock, and yes it has a red* filter on it. If you look closely with some bright light you will see it. It just happens that green light emitted by the VFD changes to a white colour when it passes through that red filter. * Well it's more of a purple/red colour, but for simplicity sake, I'm calling it red.
  6. There is only one way to settle this arguement... and it's not by predicting it here. Hurry up Adam (legend_of_lazz) and sort this out. But then again, this test is limited to the driver as well.
  7. Certainly changes the atmosphere inside. Here's a task for you now. Change the red filter in front of the vacuum fluorescent clock for a blue filter.
  8. I'll put it this way... try asking Toyota to replace a part* for free that is currently still in working order. I think everyone can figure out the answer to that. Are we forgetting my car has a limited warrany because it was flood damaged? Because it is on the outside of the car, they tend to shift the blame pretty easily without looking into it. For the effort involved, I'm not going to go from dealer to dealer once I get the same answer a couple of times. * That is not involved in a recall.
  9. It's not the shaft that's clunking on mine. That part is still fine on my Aurion. As I have mentioned a few times, mine is the steering rack mounts. I get no odd feeling through the steering wheel and it's just purely noise. The only real way to fix this is to change the entire rack because the mounts cannot be obtained on their own. It doesn't affect performance or safety, so it's just an annoying noise that I can put up with until I can figure out a solution that doesn't involve changing the rack.
  10. No. Only time you need to change it in most cases is when you remove the rocker cover, if it wasn't sealed 100% in the first place, or it has just been a fair while as they do degrade over time. As I said, these things can happen, even for something off an assembly line.

Or quite simply, the brushes are slowly on their way out. It wouldn't hurt to inspect them if you know how to.

Any time mate. Always open for joyrides.
  13. ^ No... way! That is f***ing unreal! Edit: Looking at it again is making me giggle like a little girl Edit 2: Now I'm thinking of that P&O commercial. Edit 3: I just had to look at it again. Who out there should be getting a hi-5 from me?
  14. Make that 92,500km now.
  15. Correction; rocker cover gasket. These things can happen though. Not every engine is made perfect unfortunately. Could have been a slight defect with the gasket as well rather than the way it was assembled.
  16. Great stuff mate. Now you see what I mean about them being bright. LED technology these days for you.
  17. Free-revving an engine doesn't sound as good as revving it under load. Some cases though can be the opposite.
  18. This would be more useful to you as well mate: Camry Stuff: Gen 6 Service Manuals - Exterior.pdf
  19. The OP, ZRSHIFT, has only modified his front y-pipe and put a new cat on. The the dynoed it and got a crap figure. The exhaust guy then said that the rear y-pipe and 1.5 inch pipe after that is a cause for restriction, so now he is all concerned about that.
  20. ZRSHIFT likes to think otherwise :P
  21. Nice to meet you too mate. Good to see a car out there done up for a true purpose and not just for street/show. Not saying I'm against the majority of 'done up' cars on the road, just saying that you don't see much like yours out there on the road.
  22. ^ I think it's because the human mind is noticing the gap between the characters and it makes it just that little bit harder to assemble it as a word. That's what I would think anyways.
  23. Nice photos there mate. I have tried before in the past to take photos of my own car, but my lack of skill and crappy point-and-shoot eventually led to me just giving up. I now have people like Michael, Ray, and Rowan over here to thank for their awesome skills. Here are some of my favourites: This was my very first photoshoot attempt with her. I quite liked this photo at the time (Sony CyberShot DSC-T200): Then some other photos from when I used to try (Sony CyberShot DSC-S70. Not too bad for a 10 year old point-and-shoot): This is where she belongs: A big thank you to Michael (51DER) for these ones: I should also say here that Michael is aware of the blue tint in these photos and that at the time, and the camera was not fully set up. This was more as a trial run to get used to the camera. Despite what others think about the tint, I quite like it, but I just thought that I should make everyone aware. More photos from Michael can be seen here.
  24. I do usually hear good things about BP Ultimate. At the same time, I also hear bad things. As most have stated, different fuels seem to give different results on different engines. I personally try to use only BP Ultimate. It doesn't bother me if I don't, but it,s just a high preference. My 2GR-FE doesn't really care what fuel you feed it. Even E10 gives the same results. I just trust Ultimate more.
  25. Time for yet another update. I've been around Brisbane mostly for the last month, so this means more of my usual crazy city driving. Depite that, and the fact that I now have a new intake which has led me to constant red-lining, my fuel average seems to be getting better. Maybe my engine has finally broken in fully Anyways, time for the figures. At this point in time, I have been driving the car for 21 months and have spent $10,044.70 on fuel.
