  1. Cut and polish usually does the trick really well.
  2. You try attaching that to the mesh grill without cutting a hole in the mesh.

    car door light

Does it do it on all the doors? What happens when you 'wiggle' the door pin switch around. Because these door pin switches ground against the car body, they can eventually wear and not give a good ground connection. Edit: Possibly ignore that. So your lights are meant to come on as well when you unlock your car? If so, sounds like the timer circuit responsible for managing that has decided to give up.
  4. I was originally thinking that a black Toyota emblem would sit nicely in the centre of the mesh grill. Because it's black, it doesn't take away from the mesh look, but it also is subtlety noticeable enough when you look at it. I have one here if you want it. Looks like this (shown against rear emblem for size comparison):
  5. This method is only really here to save time and hassle so long as you don't have any fog lights and don't plan on putting them in. I personally would not do it this way, but it's always handy to know where power is available. I would prefer and recommend to get your +12v by either splicing into a +12v rail from somewhere, or by using a wire tap.
  6. Lift is similar in concept to VTEC. It gives a N/A engine a little more kick. Taken from the pinned thread in the Corolla forum: Also explained here: Lotus Elise VVTL-i Explained
  7. The colour matched eyelids and grill are the perfect combination for the non-Sportivo Aurions. Good work Ingres.
  8. Love the eBay "NO POWER AT ALL" sticker. Dash lights are looking clean as well.
  9. You got fully sick cut springs bro. And yeah, forming something readable would be a bit more appropriate.
  10. Well was just browsing and came across this. Feel free to add more if you find anything you like. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  11. That's exactly what Alfred Q has now done. Have a look at the thread "fuse tap". The reason behind this part in question here is because it has a learning garage remote built into it which essentially replaces your standard remote. No mucking around trying to rewire the original remote that way.
  12. No worries mate. Glad to have helped. Too bad I don't quite have the same motivation to do mine any time soon.
  13. Man... always entertains me to see people complain about rules. 91ssr, BKS had all rights to give you a warning because it is part of the buy and sell rules of this forum. It is expected that you read these before going ahead and posting items for sale. They are pinned and at the top of the Buy & Sell section. Coming onto the forum trying to flog your stuff off is not going to get you anywhere. The community wont support you unless you support the community. It's as simple as that. Geez, don't get you knickers in a twist. P.S. An EOI is just the same as selling something. You are still advertising it.
  14. I'll be at the loop afterwards. Judging from last week, I'd say around 9pm.
  15. I still wouldn't take their word completely. If you think you are completely in the clear, then so be it. I will still stand by my word in saying that it is an illegal modification. If a police report in an accident states that your car was illegally modified, then what is AAMI going to say in return? Remember here, I'm not trying to tell you that you shouldn't have HID's. I'm not on that side of the argument. I have HID's myself. I'm just saying that they aren't legal.
  16. Sorry for the delay. Was just about to take photos then I got a call and had to dash out of the house for a second. Anyways, when you look at your fuse panel/distribution block, you will see this: That empty socket on the far left is where you would usually find your fog light relay. Models without fog lights will have no relay. Mine is missing for photo purposes: Insert spade terminal as shown and you get +12v even when the car is off: This is a crimped spade connector (yellow is for the heavier gauge wire): Narva are the main ones I use cause I like them, and you find these at Repco and other automotive places. Otherwise Jaycar have some, but I hate the quality of them. And there you go. No cutting of the factory harness, easily removed, and fuse protected (fog light fuse).
  17. I had the exact same plans for when I was going to do mine. Never got around to it since I figured just leaving the remote in the side pocket worked alright in the first place. I'm not too sure about getting fuse taps here in Australia. To tell you the truth though, I've never tried looking. The only time I heard of them was mentioned on the American Toyota Nation forums. Do you have fog lights? If not, there is an easier place to tap into on your fuse panel there. You just get a spade terminal and crimp some wire onto this. This will be your positive line. Now you go to the fuse panel and there will be two standard sized horn relays and two micro relays (blue in colour). To the left of these, there will be a blank socket. The second connector up from the bottom has a constant positive. Just plug the spade terminal into here. I'll fetch a diagram.
  18. If there was, I think I'm going to have to be soft on this one. I'm already stressing about keeping my tires well bedded in for September.
  19. 7:30pm. It's all here: QLD - Thursday Night dinner for July
  20. Was just watching the news, and saw this. Quite shocking to see and amazing how two occupants managed to survive. One dead, two hurt as car hits pole, splits in half at Mt Gravatt Pictures: Speeding car hits pole, splits in two More pictures of Audi A8 crash
  21. I got sick this year... for a couple of days. The circumstances that led to me getting sick were my own fault though. My immune system is pretty good. Every year I usually pick up on whatever flu is going around and get a light fever (always luckily happens at the end of the day). Once that happens, straight into a scolding hot shower then rugged up in bed. Next day it's like I never had it. Best defence for the flu I find. It always amazes me how quickly it spreads though. You usually just hear of one of your friends getting sick, then the next day everyone else is sick. I'm usually in the clear at that point.
  22. Yeah, watched that afterwards thanks to the related video thing. LOL. ... "make sure to tighten the rocknut". Edit: Just watching the Season Finale at the moment. If you have 26 minutes to waste, then it's something funny to watch: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!
  23. The wheels themselves satisfy the requirements. Now the only part that could possibly affect whether they fit or not are the brake calliper clearance. It 'shouldn't' be an issue, but the only way to guarantee these things is by test fitting it. I'd be leaning more towards the 'it will fit' side of that argument because most stock brakes like that won't cause any issues. Yes you can use them as the recommended wheel width for a 195/65R15 tire is 5-7 inches.
  24. The Atlas wheels are 6.5 inches wide and the offset will remain the same as standard which is the +45. Mazda 3 wheels do have a 5x114.3 stud pattern, but the offset for them are 52.5mm. You're in the same boat as the Honda wheels here.
