Just my personal view, if you wanna boost the power, yeah.....the first step would be the air filter and exhaust. But it really depends on your badget :) , well, if your have some cash, then I'll say "Do the air filter + the exhaust together~~!!"

"Breath in and Breath out" they have to work together ~~! :D

This let you get the most out of your car and your parts. :D

Talk to Northy... He seems to get some freakish power out of his ascent SPORT... there are also a lot of other guys here with experience tuning the 1ZZ-FE, just use the search tool at the top and you'll find your answers there... ;) B)

what about 1ZZ-FTE..... :P :P :P

or change the heads over with a 2ZZ for a 1ZZ-GE... hmmm... what compression ratio would that make... maybe a better candidate to getting blown... mmmmmm 1ZZ-GTE.... :D :D :D :D

Buddy... save your dosh. It's not worth blowing your hard earned cash on this project. My suggestion is to save your money, yes this is difficult, and spend it on another vehicle which has the potential to be easily modified/worked. With this is mind you can have a car that you can slowly build up, and constantly expand on. This will enable you to have a car that can progress from Street to Strip, if so desired, when ever you want, and when budget allows.

Cold Air Intake, Exhaust, Extractors, TRD Supercharger, Aftermarket ECU.

Im sure you might feel a bit of a difference with those power mods.

And guys, he was asking for helpfull siggestions about how he can mod his current car, not for you to tell him its a waste of time or anything like that. I know I prefer my Ascent over a tivo mainly because it suits my needs better having less power.

With the mods ive listed 100kw's at the wheel shouldn't be unreasonable

Hi Guys,

I agree 100% with Skitzo. obsessionz was after help with what we can do with his current car. That being my bitch for the day.

obsessionz i would recommend doing end to end breathing mods.

i.e. CAI, extractors & exhaust. This will start you for power.

If u also want some handling mods then u should do your springs n shocks n strut brace, sway bars etc. But if your only after more power then ignore these mods and your next bet is get a supercharger kit TRD or other or if thats to much in terms of $$$ then get and independant ECU to tune it to ur mods. If u get an independant ECU make sure its 1 that could be used with ur a supercharger kit that u would one day like to buy as this will save u $$$ in the long run ;) ;)

And if this is all to much simply do the breathing mods and chuck a unichip on top of it. im sure that will put a smile on ur face :D :D :D :D

cheers

Bill

I know I'm always interested in hearing about what people do with their Ascents, Conquests, etc, because Toyota don't do a Sportivo wagon.

However, I have a plan to fix that ...

Buddha's To Do list:

1) Convince Toyota of market appeal for Sportivo wagon.

2) Convince wife to get manual licence.

3) Trade Conquest wagon on a Sportivo wagon.

4) Wake up, stop dreaming, and deal with the real world.

there is a wagon with 2zz engine in japan called fielder. and a little trick you can put any rear spoilers and lips produced for the wagon on sedans.

there will be lightly used parts for sale from typhoon motorsports in the coming week. keep checking their forum http://forum.tomsracing.com.au/

for the list which might include blitz short ram system and tanabe full exhaust system.

If they had a wagon in the Stivo, I would have got it instead of the hatch.
