thanks moite, on a positive note though, if i get my car camera mount before this sunday, i can borrow my parents video camera and record all the action on the roads muhaha :D

haha yeah, already bought it and waiting delivery, they are in melbourne so it shouldn't be long :) i'm sure others will take lots of photos so i'll scab them off the others :P

but i cant wait for the great ocean road cruise... :spiteful: i'll capture the WHOLE cruise on camera... i'll shift the date abit sooner if tash's friends don't fill in the previous months prior to spring months. have u read it yet 1st kill? :)

Might as well shift it forwards if you want to - I'll be away most of June so wouldn't be able to do a recon run for anything up my way until July anyway lol

Attendance list is still looking great, hope we don't have a lot of people drop out before the main event. I'm champing at the bit to get down there, never been to the Dandenongs so it'll be a good run :D Oh and someone pretty please bring some tools (I'm looking at you Nathan :P) if they fancy putting my new tail lights on for me lol :yahoo:

I've got some tools I'll bring for ya tash! Shouldn't be too hard to do.....Unless theres lots of sikaflex holding the lights in. Then they are a real bitch to get out :angry: I gave up on my 200sx and returned the lights I had, and now I put STI tail lights in the rex and had no problems at all.

Hooray!! I figured with everyone going along there wouldn't be any shortage of willing/able hands :D Hahah well I hope it's easy too, I have heard it's meant to be pretty much a straight swap.

yeah it should be. Just that from factory they use the black sikaflex stuff like a glue/sealant and its the stickiest s**t ever!! They use it to stick on side skirt body kits and what not. Its like a silicone. We'll be right. There's enough people around to help out ;) What lights you got? Black LED's or something?

Nah they're clear LED the whole way around - set imported from the states that was on another Camry for about 3 months. I was gunna import some smoked ones myself but the price of these was too good to resist lol Figure I will put them on clear and can always tint them later :)

but if we decide a little bit more driving is in order i know most of the roads up there pretty well.. and would happily lead a group of spirited drivers to some good spots.

edit: guys i bought a new camera on ebay, so should be getting that by the end of the week! :yahoo: photos galore! :D

Oh no, that's no good :( But great that you can still come and say g'day beforehand cos I need to grab that wax kit off you hahahahah!

Sounds like there'll be plenty of cameras at this meet which is always awesome :D Some spirited driving towards the end will be good also, although I'll hang out toward the back and take it easy this time, take in more of the scenery hahah

gopro motor.... what!? i'll just stick with my cheap 20 dollar suction mount, good enough for track and good enough for cruise use :lol:

im sweet and looking forward to it...car has bit of an oil leak but as andy said an oil leak shouldnt slow down a 4age :)....will bring some oil incase gets bad. So from reading first post is it still the meet at bottom of mountain 1299 ferntree gully road ?

Anyone leaving from around the south morang, doreen, diamond creek, doncaster area ? as we can form a group and leave from there.

      ASV50 Camry Head Unit Options

      I have a 2014 Atara SL with the JBL Navigation head unit, it's getting a bit long in the tooth and I'd like to add Android Auto so I'm curious about what other owners have done. I don't want to lose the reverse camera and the dynamic guidelines, there are also some other car functions as part of it that would be good to keep. I have seen plug in modules that wire in that add the functionality to the existing unit so it's possible to keep it and switch between stock and android but I haven't seen a specific one for this model JBL unit. Has anyone had success with a later model Toyota unit bolting in?

      1zz-fe engine rebuild

      Hello all, Working on my 2002 corolla. It needs a engine rebuild due to burning oil out the back. It has over 400,000 km on it and I havent looked after it. Everything is still original on the motor. The only thing that I have replaced, was the brushes on the alternator. They were completely worn out. I am pulling the motor/gearbox out of the car. Wont know the condition of the block or head until I strip it down. I know the design of the piston where changed in the 2003+ models for more oil holes, which stopped the buring of oil. 1. Was there any other changes made ? 2. Does anyone know of where I can get a engine rebuild kit for 1zz-fe motor in australia ? 3.       2007 Corolla Sedan rear seatbelt question

      Hi everyone, new member here. I've got a small problem which I'm hoping you can help me sort out. I've read the "read me first" thread and done a forum search so apologies if this ends up being a repost. Ok, so I've just has a bloody mouse chew through the rear seat and half (but only half) of every rear seatbelt. Which is nice. So I need to replace them. The problem I appear to have is that none of the local breakers have any suitable vehicles that I can pull them from and the ones I ordered and was sent from the bay of fleas has the wrong brackets on, despite being allegedly for that vehicle. Further searches come up with every seller showing the wrong bracket, so either I've got a special car which is different just because, or (more likely) they don't know their ****s from their elbows what they're selling. I'm after some aftermarket ones as they never get used and just need to be there to get through rego so don't really want to spend a heap of cash I don't have on genuine parts if I can avoid it. I've replaced the centre one (a mate just randomly had it in a box in his shed, which was handy) but still need the left and right. I've attached the bracket type I pulled from the car and need. Is this a standard generic Toyota seatbelt or specific to the 2007 Corolla sedan? Does is need to be specifically for the rear left and right or do front ones fit? Does anyone know where I can source an aftermarket pair? I will really, really appreciate any help offered with this, I know my way around a box of tools but very little about mechanikicing (which is part of the reason why I bought this car - something simple to learn on as repairs/replacements become due) and this is a simple fix which is turning into a drawn out headache.       Hi all, Wondering if anyone has had this issue. I recently purchased a 2007 200 series landcruiser, and the amplifier for the air con unit stopped working. Part number 88650-60D60. (Looks like a circuit board) All controls for the air con now do not work, very frustrating in winter when you dont have any way to unfog your windscreen. Toyota have informed me that they no longer produce this part, and there is nothing superseeded to fit in it's place. My question is has anyone had this problem? If so what did you do to fix it? I have got onto an auto sparky who has had a go at fixing the circuit board but its unserviceable. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
