Speeding Ticket Excuses?

What is the best excuse you have made or heard of to try and get out of a speeding ticket?

i know its not real, its from a joke i remember:

*car gets pulled over*

Officer: Okay buddy, its my last shift, if you give a good excuse for speeding i'll let you off

*man thinks for about 30 seconds*

man: my wife ran away with a cop last night, i thought you were trying to give her back to me

*police officer lets the man go*

fail police officer:

*pulls over car*

cop: excuse me but do you know how fast you were going ?

man: nope no idea

cop: da*n! i was hoping you could tell me

*lets car go*

*situation number 2*

cop: excuse me, but do you know how fast you were going ?

man: 80 kph

cop: try 140 kph

*man speeds off to 140kph*

anyhwoo, here is one i intend to use, (but only when low fuel light is on,)

get pulled over and ask why speeding,

i say: oh i was running out of fuel (as you can see with my low fuel light warning) , i wanna get to a petrol station asap in case i run out of fuel,

hehe :P dunnoe if it will work though,..

Many years ago a mate had an FC Holden and when he got pulled over he leaned under the dash and unhooked the return spring from the accelerator. He got out and lifted the bonnet and showed the cop who then let him off.

That won't work because you use more fuel going faster lol

dont know any excuses for speeding, but if its a burnout you can always blame the clutch

Actually I do know one for speeding.

"I had just came back from Europe (Germany) and I was pretty used to speeds there of about 140km/s etc

Or you can just get your mate in the back to act like a pregnant women giving birth and say your in a hurry to get the the hospital :lol: :lol:

Not really a speeding excuse, but still worth a mention...

Couple weekends ago a few of us decided to go for a nice cruise through some backroads. Was a warm, clear, sunny day, so the last thing we expected was thick ice all the way down a hill after a blind corner. Long story short it ended in a loss of traction, an insurance claim and therefore police being called to attend. So here we are, expecting some middle aged bloke to show up on a mission, and see 3 young guys with 3 separate cars and assume we were being d!ckheads (we weren't). Eventually the cop, probably late 20's, pulls up in his police issue XT Falcon, and the first words out of his mouth - "holy sh*t, I had her sideways coming down there!"

I used that excuse!!! I lived at the top of a hill and the servo was at the bottom... I was right on empty and just gave it a big squirt at the top of the hill. I wasnt over by much, maybe 110. showed him the gauge and off he went. My very first car, RA23 Twin Webers.. I was only in high school so the gauge was always near empty. lol.
