EBC Green Stuff Brake Pads on standard discs

Ive just had my discs replaced under warranty but they wont change my pads, and the stocky pads are crunching.

Hey i was going to buy a set of EBC green stuff pads for the front and black stuff for the back on my 05 stivo.

Has any1 had experience running green stuffs on stock rotors?

greenstuff will chew up the standard rotors pretty quickly.

Ferodo DS2500 are my choice for a performance pad. If you're in Sydney go see Kevin at St Mary's Specialised Brake and Clutch.

So will the Ferodo's leave the standar rotors, or will these pads mince the rotors as well??

Every set of Ferodo DS2500's I've had have been great on the rotors. Race Brakes RB174 and Endless performance pads are also a bit too harsh on rotors for my liking. I've been through a LOT of discs and pads over the last few years.

Do you mean the RB74? I was going to give them a go, but how hard are they on rotors?

Yep, my mistake. I had a set on my rex with DBA slotted rotors, good combo but not as good intitial bite as the DS2500 on the same discs, the Race Brakes pad did eat the discs more than the DS2500. I'd rate the RB74 as better than the expensive endless pads I had on the same car.

Trevor at Brake Distributors of Australia can sort you out with the RB74's if they're what you're after.

If you're after GOOD brake info, check out the brake section at the MRT forums. Steve from DBA gives some excellent advise over there.

im running EBC greenstuff on my stock corolla 03 rotors. (Its a Japanese made sedan).

I changed to the EBC after my stock ones ran out after 55000km. The EBC brake well, but are dusty as. In a fortnight of normal driving, my front wheels is dark grey instead of silver.

another one for the ferodo DS2500, i haven't had them long enough to notice rotor wear, but they are awesome! no fading at the track in the ST185 and braking power is heaps better then stock pads once they have a little bit of temp into them (don't need a lot)

i think i paid ~120ish for the front set...can't remember exactly...but i will be using them on all the time now i think

I've got ebc green stuff with oryginal discs. I've changed brake pads 5000 km ago, so until now it works ok. There is much more dust on wheels than before (oryginal pads). I've asked the same question some time ago in polish corolla club. Some people told, that everything should be ok, but somebody told, that EBC GS makes discs much more hot, and can destroy it, so after few hard breaking I try to drive slowly and let discs to be not to hot.

Sorry for my bad english
