teeehehehe he said "flaps" :P

im not sure what purpose they serve but yes i had noticed them too..

I know what hes taking about. They are in front of the wheels. Im not sure what they are for, maybe they have them there cuz of the front skirt to close off the gap underneath.

they are just an "L" shaped addon, the inner guard linings are the same the sportivo just has that little extra bit..and no idea why

I took my flaps off coz it kept rubbing the ground :P

Mate there is surgery for that kind of thing. A bit of a nip and tuck should rectify it ;)

It wasn't put there for no reason.

Just like the rest of the plastic covering the underbody, the 'L' shaped bit of plastic is to provide more downforce when travelling at high speeds.

By theory, sportivos should be more stable than normal 'open bottom' corollas at high speeds.

Simply study the underbody of sports cars, or more simply, why did CONE make the underbody plate?

cheers.

the way they are facing would create lift rather then downforce tho....

They're possibly there to deflect airflow from travelling up into the front wheel arches, in doing so reducing drag and front end lift at high speed.

Yeah that make sense. Afterall, the Toyota bodykit actually have aerodynamic purpose ( I forgot who or where i read that). So What pippy and 1zz-fe said could be valid.

Oh yeah, even the TRD front bumper (the one that looks to have smiley face) reduce more drag co-ef! Technology from its Supra JGTC!

It actually encourages the air to go around, i believe.
