  1. Hey all, Just a shout to WA owners, anyone know of any good spots for taking car photos? anyone keen to do a mini meet for a photoshoot?
  2. good work there mate what camera/lens combo are you using?
  3. wow those are some awsome looking wheels!!! cant wait to see pics dude!!
  4. sub and amp are in!!! wow is all i can say, nice to have all the low end filtered out of my doors and rear shelf and into the sub, sounds amazing!! had a grill fitted as well to protect the sub from UFO's in my boot :P had the amp fitted under the drivers seat, so now i have the alpine 4 channel amp under the passenger seat to power the speakers, and the mono block under my seat to power the sub.. and absolutely no parcel shelf rattle! wheww! think it helped having the shelf double dynamatted and sealed/stuck into place with silicone.. took some pictures of the set up.. hehehe pls, its a white car, i dont want any skiddies on the paint job :P LOL
  5. sitting in a cafe in the city, having a coffee and enjoying free wifi while waiting for my sub and mono block to be fitted!
  6. Most probs. Where was this and what time? near that church, heading towards the freeway south entry? i was at the traffic lights, white aurion with HID's
  7. cant wait to see it!! :P just a questions about your pedders springs thou, how did you find them with stnd shocks? lot stiffer? good or bad? im getting pedders springs in my aurion but im only running rhe 16" alloys.. congrats on the awsome car dude, your audio has set the benchmark in aurions!
  8. thanks for the comments guys! :) very glad with how she is turning out, will like to upgrade to larger wheels down the track, but im liking the 16's for now :P daryl, your wildfire red looks awsome already.... imagine how much "POP" it would give once you hit it with some claybar, swirlX, and then 2 layers of a good quality wax! Lee, mate i cant wait to see your beast with the new coilovers! gives me something to aim towards! im going to go the pedders springs first, and look at upgrading to coilovers down the track (as with wheels :P )
  9. Ok so finished the detailing on the car, after hitting it with a series of paint cleaners etc and 2 coats of nxt 2.0, topped it off with 2 coats or meguiars m26 hi tech wax. couple of pics, will be having the sub and mono block fitted thursday, and pedders springs the next fortnight!! :) enjoy and any comments are welcome :)
  10. think i spotted and1 tonight, near fitzgerald street??
  11. i went for the pioneer AVH 4150DVD, very very happy with my choice. great looking unit, good audio features, awsome sound and good integration (bluetooth, reverse camera etc etc)
  12. im assuming thats just the neon tubes? and not the whole lighting assembly? looks hot thou! very very tempted.....
  13. doing a full detail on my aurion today and it looks like its going to flow into tomorrow LOL What ive done so far: washed with meguiars gold class shampoo clayed entire car using meguiars smooth clay kit meguiars ultimate compound over whole car with meguiars DA g220 *1 x coopers pale ale* meguiars swirlX over whole car using w8206 pad *1 x coopers pale ale* Meguiars #7 show car glaze *1 x coopers pale ale* wipe down with meguiars final inspection. first layer of meguiars NXT techwax 2.0 now waiting for wax to set, and will leave the car 12 hrs before putting on 2nd application :P and ive just realised ive run outta beer! :o
  14. its all good man :) relieved that i didnt offend :) anyway yea the alpine s type set up works pretty well from what ive seen... i was looking at going the type r set up all round but gota good deal on some mb quart reference speakers... pioneer would be good as well, i think the TS-A or TS-D range sits around the type S/R level of performance? which headunit will you be powering this set up with?
  15. in which way? sorry i didnt quite pick up what you put down in your last message? If you had already chosen your speakers than that was my mistake, was just suggesting a different set up which ive heard before and sounded great. anyway just my 2c, sorry if it didnt sit right with you mate.
  16. if you want a system which will give you great sound quality without breaking the bank, perhaps go for a set up like: front: Alpine s type 6.5inch components rear shelf: Alpine s type 6 x9's amp: alpine mrp f300 4 channel this will give you great bang for your buck... add dynamat for even better sound :P but beware... audio stuff can get addictive... i thoguht i escaped the bug a few years ago, until i got the aurion, then it all started up again! :P good luck! :)
  17. well said mate, i work in belmont and the amount of stupid hoon drivers that i see everyday really does not cease to amaze me. drive safe everyone ;)
  18. just checking the email i got is correct? cortina_tc@hotmail.com? guess its the festive season :P
  19. if it's alright, id like to drop by for the meet, just to meet everyone, but wont be able to go on the cruise as im normally busy during the weekends?
  20. added to that, if you wanna do your gearbox and centre consol lights, they are t5 led's and maybe for next time, check this thread out http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=19545 good luck :) bro, what the deal with the t10 adaptor? where'd you get this? sorry its a bit hard to explain... i will take a photo for you later tonight... basically if you imagine a festoon bulb, which has two wires exiting from its centre, these two wires are connected to a panel of SMD LED's. thats about as best as i can describe it. Here in perth they can be found in those little auto accessory stores which are usually full of HP increasing stickers/hello kitty mechandise etc :P
  21. ouch! yeah after speaking to the installer today, the LED's he mentioned to me would only be good for cosmetic purposes... i am still looking at getting a cheap set to put into my fogs - purely for looks. Will eventually upgrade the fogs to HID as well. guess this proves one thing - Whilst they have massive potential, LED's still have a fair way to go until they hit the masses :P thanks for all the input fellas!
