  1. at least u know the person who will buy it off u will look after them well ;) pay attention to the side chrome as well Evo wheel is good, hope there is a Corolla Evo one day
  2. Honda has stopped Civic in Japan http://www.caradvice.com.au/92159/honda-civic-production-to-end-for-japanese-market/
  3. The whole JDM sport car just not going good agreed, with VW Polo price at $28K with DSG, and 0-100 in 6.9... I won't choose Corolla again, and the VW Golf is light weight There is no Civic anymore in Japan, hence no Type R in the future New Evos and WRX is way too heavy for a sport car Recent FIA S2000 regulations are not popular, otherwise we can see 1.6 Turbo on the streets.. I really like JDM cars as Eurpoean cars are quite expensive to modify and maintain, and reliability is a problem FD86 is our only JDM hope, but to be honest, it will disappoint me
  4. Is it really 1.6L 133kW 202Nm , the torque numbers are not that impressive, should be around 220-250? Is that a typo? and hopeless of a TRD version in Aussie I guess.. unless they can sell it for $30K, so many european cars in that price tag range at the moment. Toyota cannot overprice this car
  5. how long did you take to buy, clean and swap the engine? wow
  6. very hot.... I have a chance to race with a EP3 in my last track day, they are fast and good in handling, I lost 2 seconds per lap to them Some highlights of somebody else car http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150344661053987
  7. $70 in ebay only anyone? oh my god, i am chinese and I don't know about it... At least they come up something not copying from someone which they usually do... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Chinese-Military-Shovel-Emergency-Tools-WJQ-308-sheath-/260748719746?pt=AU_Sport_Camping_Hiking_Tools&hash=item3cb5d5b682

  9. that means they did not clean the MAF sensor... have you got your own mechanic? good mechanic always open up their own shop and not staying in dealers!!! DO not bring the car to them next time. Corolla is not something difficult to fix, not like european car
  10. Looks like the mechanic is an amateur,, and that is bullsh!t.. your intake has been there for a while.. and loads of people put intake with no problems Have they clean the MAF before replacing it? DId they replace it last time? so the life of the MAF sensor just last for few weeks? Is that MAF sensor dirty or not? any oil blocking that sensor? and for your info, Toyota TECH USA site contains the full repair menu of our cars, the menu is designed for dummies. You can pay 15 dollars for 2 days to have a look.. I won't give my car to Toyota anymore.. If OBD2 scanner can read the code, why take to Toyota.. however, they are using something called TECHSMITH, certain operations (like ECU reflash) require that program to do. no one except Toyota can do it omg, another 351.6.. that is crazy
  11. depends how you drive, I got a ZRE152 and I am using 6.5L/100 for day to day work, average speed is 60-80km/h, I drive at sixth gear starting at 50km/h, also with some traffic jam.. Highway just increase my fuel consumption especially with speed more than 100km/h My fuel consumption just gets lower and lower since I bought the car, have been using Caltex 98 and royal purple engine oil.. I think the engine oil is forming a thicker protective layer upon using for a long time.. 1 year ago with same engine oil and driving style, the fuel consumption is 6.8/100
  12. Johnnie, what do you think the real cause of your oil problems? Any chance that oil filter was too dirty or you got leaking somewhere? From your symptons, I believe the oil is contaiminated, but how does it get contaiminated?
  13. 1:16.5 PB in the video, 0.3 second better than last time, I am really really on the limit, no room to push Features a 1974 celica at the beginning, I was not even born !!! That 1974 celica was a king in the 70s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKVQdn1KPC0 Got braking problem after changing to a cheap brake fluid ($10 Castrol Super Dot 4), at the end of the above video (the 4th lap), I keep overshooting that corner, Not enough hydralic pressure at the brakes. After I back off a bit, got brakes again. Will bring to my mechanic to check for brake wear and any leaking in my new Braided brake lines. End up buying this for $40 per bottle including delivery Desert storm at the track, zero visibility, driving blind All the times here http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?03/10/2011.WAKE.S3.Y Some Photos here and some photos here http://redsprinter.wordpress.com/2011/10/04/my-long-weekend-3rd-october-circuit-clubs-track-day/ I have a ride on a MX5, I can understand what a cornering monster look like...at slow speed corners, FF cars just have to be patient because I don't know how to induce oversteer in a slow speed corner. However, FF car is easier to control. For my set up of coilover, softest at the front and hardest at the back.. I gain half a second because of changing the setting of coilover to induce oversteer
  14. of coze you won, not many people have bags,, saw your facebook albumn, nice !!
  15. that is cheap, but it is in adelaide
  16. you can buy 2 new corolla with that price
  17. Good that you solve the problem.. from your symptons, seems to be the oil problem because it is choking on idle. Oil contamination happens to me 20 years ago in my dad's car, got chkoing on idle as well.. Do you think your fuel is contaminated with moisture? especially if you don't drive often.. any chance that dirt get into the oil? can you dyno the car and find the AF ratio? I have dynoed my car two times, and shows no lean or no rich, so no way that CAI is the culprit 12 to 13 is the ideal range, I almost never use Shell, whenever I use it, I find my car lack of power and higer fuel consumption Please use Caltex 95 or 98
  18. Make me remind of Bruce Willis Die hard, John McClane, they both call John and look similar
  19. I hope you can put in a big spoiler one day like this, I love JTCC Chaser
  20. Please don't expect much from my $125 black box recorder, it is built for in car recording, not for camera.. I try to take advantage of the rain drops
  21. could someone post all the figures of all cars, just interesting to c
  22. love it, hoping this post for ages.. I broke the clip before, toyota charge me $2 for one clip, so pricy
