  1. Thumbs up I use dot 4, as far as I understand and my research so far, dot 4 is coming from dot 3, and dot 4 has no compatibility with dot 3, but never touch dot 5, as dot 5 will damage your car I am using Castrol super dot 4, cheap and good ($11 per 500ml in supercheap auto), and you require 1.5 Litres (3 bottles) to flush. and never mix dot 3 and dot 4 together
  2. my zre quoted for 240 without pads, I directly email to them also RDA slotted, same part number Don't forget that you need to pay for machine and install..Not sure if they come without required to machine or not normal disc rotor is not that expensive, please make sure that it is useful to you. I use it for track.. Also spoken to another ZRE member Jessie, he bought around the same price
  3. The cord wasn't too bad but this was a top price, now I don't need to borrow yours :P Oil is that price till Fri I think but some stores have sold out.. I am using my hand to do waxing, good for exercise..but if I am lazy, might go to your place to try yours !!!
  4. Auris swimming, poor quality, but funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFBh3plD_cY
  5. Lexus is using LED for low beam http://www.lexus.com.au/ls600hl/style/exterior I am thinking can I put LED for my low beam or high beam? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Xenon-WHITE-68-SMD-H3-BULBS-Car-LED-DRL-High-Beam-Light-/330583359100?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf84dbe7c#ht_6860wt_1112 In that ebay, it said "Please do NOT use LED bulbs on low beam beacuse light output of LED is very intense but not broad enough for low beam" but my car is using projector based headlight, is there any relationship with it? They are cheap as well I cannot find pictures regarding the comparsion of LED low beam..I can only find the following on the scooter http://dmcleish.com/CPF/Vespa/index.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Headlamp#Low_beam explains more
  6. I agree with you... I stuff up few times from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd on the track.... especially during braking, engine braking cannot be applied at the "changing gear time" I still choose manual because I don't want the gear box gives me trouble after 100k km, which is not unpopular.. My old car stuff up because of the automatic gear box However, on daily driving. If the traffic jam is bad, I definitely buy a DSG, unless you enjoy holding clutch in traffic jam!! Manual is still fun in normal road. I once drive an automatic with +/- a while ago, almost fall asleep
  7. http://www.nonstoptuning.com/NSTPULLEYS/pKitToyCor.htm 09-11 Corolla S I got it installed, 2-3kw increase at the wheel
  8. If going for track, DSG is the option. I no longer stuck in changing gear.. but I will still buy Manual, new technology gives me sh** trouble after like 10 years
  9. why do u got the japanese license plate? As the others said, lower your tank... Very good to c u start your thread
  10. thanks, i pay for what i get your advice is very useful, i do not want the camera to shake during track day
  11. Use for track days + just use the battery for normal video recording and camera Really not bad deal, I am looking for a digital camera anyways http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140587267921&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_8720wt_1139
  12. really up to u, coilover not cheap, and you won't feel comfortable after installing it. I cannot eat too full now coze the pod hole will throw my food out of my stomach For me tracking, it is a must, but I am very lazy to lower it before racing and readjust to normal height after racing..don't bother Also, if you are too low and you are going for a long trip with full load of passengers, you are pretty inconvenient. Your passenger, depends on weight, will drop your car even more...I do often carry 3 passengers to travel around, so cannot be too low
  13. justed checked the japanese site, they are on CVT I doubt whether australian Version has CVT One wiper for front screen, that is hot HID head light included Also, the front grill is more nice, same as new camry, hope to fit that grill into my rolla !!
  14. those recargo are so sexy and the wheels, wow Are you planning to go to Winton? I am in NSW, cannot go there!!! Such a good track for cornering
  15. http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=Modellista+auris&_sacat=See-All-Categories very cheap for shippping, just 70 bucks I am thinking about it (just thinking, no action yet)
  16. I am thinking about it, Does that mean the the throttle is more sensitive once in sport mode?
  17. oh come on, of coze... actually, i love your car, Honda's classic.. far more better than today's type R, the only thing to me is its age and parts !!!
  18. I have been thinking about it... do you think it will have disadvantages, like putting extra stress on the wheels that can break something else? as you know, my car is more for track than show pony (also day to day driving).. what brand do you recommend? can you send me some link in ebay? if so, 10mm is the way to go. My current wheel is offest 45(because they don't do offset 35) I have found this http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?395021-Spacers-Disadvantages talking about the disadvantages Sorry, folks, I am one of the weirld animal that runs 16. Looks not as hot as 17 or 18
  19. ben yip

    my camry

is you???? yes, we just met in hurtsville... Your car is really hot how do you do the toyota badge with light? Also how do you do your front LED? I know ***** about electronics and would like you to share with us
  20. Not sure if it is hot enough, looking for wheel cap because the drive shaft at the front comes out, the default wheel cap does not fit
  21. Another member posted in here but....no concrete answer so far I am aware that USA uses a different gearbox it said it is working in 2009+ XRS 6 speed, I don't know whether our ZRE shares the same gear box as the XRS. Can anyone tell me the gearbox model of XRS 6 speed? What i normally do, is to compare the part number that is required... if we are using the same part number, then we can do it.. I do need help to research on this if you are after short shifter http://www.twmperformance.com/shortshifters/toyotashortshifters/toyotacorollashortshifters.htm http://www.twmperformance.com/manuals/2009-corolla-short-shifter-install.pdf I have posted this in the ZRE FAQ a long time ago regarding a unknown country ZRE part list, i need to find out the relative part number http://www.megazip.ru/ru/auto/toyota/view/399/3559/38369/355939#g355779 I have sent an email to them asking all the part number they are replacing, hope they can get back to me.. I can then ask Toyota Australia for the part number to see whether they match I do stuck in changing gear sometimes (once every 2 weeks) in daily driving. This only happens to changing from neutral to first gear... Everytime, I have to release the clutch and do it again..
  22. what is the point of changing rotor then? the track i am racing only need to brake 3 times in a 1:20 lap, i doubt whether overheating in a problem... they are as follows First brake usage 150km/h to 80km/h in <3 seconds Second brake usage 120km/h to 60km/h in <3 seconds Third brake usage 125 km/h to 60km/h in <3 seconds Moreover, my A1RM brake pad has very few dust, I start to doubt the advantages of changing brake rotors. I did not suffer brake fade so far
  23. hmm, not sure if it fits my car, since my car has a larger disc than pre-facelift due to VSC Anyone can guide me? I am more inclined to RDA slotted..don't know where to find I read articles that cross-drilled is not suitable for tracking. also, special pad are required.. what happen if my pad is out? i have found this EBC as well http://ebcrotors.com/c-62_2010-toyota-corolla_ebc-rotors.aspx very hot black colour also, Keshinx heped me to find this braided brake lines at the bottom http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300392955053&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I am still doing research of whether changing rotor is necessary for my car in Wakefield....my brake pad works in very high temperature and my brake fluid can reach almost 300 degree.. How much heat is carried away by this rotor? I don't know
