no new record will be set due to rain. I start to love raining on the track, quite fun to drive in the rain

  2. Your exhaust has much more treble than I got. I got so much bass After I changed my header, more treble After I changed my CAI, more more treble After I changed my cat convertor, more more more treble and I think it correspond to your raspiness. That noise is due to I guess the air flow more freely I am doing research of how to effectively detect for any exhaust leaks. Thinking of something like a paper wrapped around the exhaust welding points and turns color when leaking My exhaust gas also stinks after changing cat convertor, and have a little "turbo pop" sound when lift off the throttle
  3. good on you !!! However, I still cannot imagine the "buzzing" sound I don't know much about the argument between 2 and 2.5 exhaust size.. No concrete evidence so far
  4. Where are you? I like your comments=> wolf in sheep's clothing, but not anymore I am going to order rota rspec very soon too many police and car thieves recently, cannot be too high profile these days.. I need to think twice to go to Kings cross to have hot dog on Saturday night after putting new wheels. (police are there to pick up car modifications)
  5. That is careless mistake. I destroyed 2 steel wheels in my old car because of silly mistakes when I was P After driving for few years, these mistakes gone before you change tires and wheels, make sure you will be more careful, especially make sure you don't scratch the rims again You can go to ZRE FAQ section for tires and rim information I will suggest you to go for 16 or 17 for daily driving, 18 is too expensive and too heavy.. but it looks really cool
  6. exhaust pictures photos of 2 inch catback 304 steel done ages ago, the resonator is replaced I have asked about the brown colur, they told me it is normal for 304 steel
  7. do you feel faster? also, can your hand touch the whole Pod filter as I said before?
  8. I saw you today in parramatta road burwood, real car hotter than photo. I keep wondering how to move my ascent batch to my front grill in facelift want to say hi to you but you are not looking at me :=( My car is not hot at all to draw your attention :=(
  9. what kind of performance gain I am after? I am happy about the feel of my current clutch on the street and on the track, do I need to change it?
  10. nothing wrong with a 11 year old kid driving. At least he has the gut of doing a few donuts !! He will probably be a great driver after grown up
  11. I have spend so much time to dig this article up, most people just talking about it with no concrete evidence. I am not a big fan of large wheels at all, I can lost almost 0.2 second in 0 to 100, and hence the reason why light weight wheel is so important in tracking, which is my next mod What surpises me is in 0-100mph, 0.7 seconds are lost, so why not fit 15 in drag racing then!! http://www.caranddriver.com/features/10q1/effects_of_upsized_wheels_and_tires_tested-tech_dept
  12. I agree with you, like me, got a Corolla, with people teasing at me putting in on track. Well, the same goes for Evo, people driving a Ferrari might look down on the Evo... If you want fast, just get a motor bike to drag, why carry a load of weight then Go Kart can be very fast as well, very light weight. I wonder if I can bring one to drag with you and I will be flying (too fast, so the car really start to fly !!) I don't like XR6, my friend got it and it has many design flaws, eg, when changing the clutch. One old professional driver (50+ years old) told me "Remember 30 years ago, most cars are using drum brakes. Today car modifications are chaotic, many people don't know what they are doing. Technique of the driver is always number 1". I hope you dun fall into the materialistic world, chasing for power, never ending. You must your own reason of buying a Aurion rather than Ford
  13. Good time.. I totally agree with you on this. Your speed is higher I have done lots of research on dyno, and resulted in nothing, no definite answers on so many things, such as the torque as you say.. Reality checking is more accurate and realistic.. Recently, I am using similar method to compare the performance.. I take a video using my mobile, do acceleration from second or third gear starting from 2k rpm rolling start (make sure wheel spinning is minimal), then accelerates at 6krpm or even higher. Then use a stop watch to measure the length of the video between the rev I chop the video into pieces and measure each 1000 rpm and the time taken Good on you on the AFR ratio, according to my research on here http://autospeed.com.au/cms/title_Tuning-AirFuel-Ratios/A_1595/article.html In the engine operating range from peak torque to peak power, a naturally aspirated engine should be slightly leaner at about 13:1, with the forced induction factory engine about 12:1 and an aftermarket supercharged engine staying at about 11:1. but again, every car is so different
  14. WTF of the day, is that some cheap fake chinese crap? lucky you check your car
  15. hmmm...endless argument on this even I am sick of it For example, there is one below about this http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/engine-swaps-mounts-pulleys/146787-nst-pulley-long-term-users.html Up to you whether you want to gamble with the pulley or not. I am a pulley user myself and no problems, but my engine is different from yours!!! so I don't know but make sure you asked your mechanic to check the screw of the pulley and the condition of the pulley everytime you service your car, just for peace of mind.. Many pulley failure are due to poor installation I check my pulley and headers quite often for any cracks or leaking
  16. time of your drag? I have also compared your two dyno, I am afriad to say that you are losing power When I compare dyno, I don't compare the peak figures, I compare the mid range.. Just let you know, I am also learning how to read dyno. I am not an expert in your dyno, I have take 145km/h for example, because of your automatic transmission, I cannot compare low rev First one: 163.2kw Second one: 157kw You lose 6.2kw in 160km/h First one: 175.2 Second one: 170kw You lose 5.2kw in 178km/h First one: 187.2kw Second one: 184.4kw You lose 3kw Also, pay attention to the AFR ratio, that is very important In the second dyno, I am wondering whether the spike of the power curve is caused by the AFR ratio changes, my dyno graph in my signature below shows the same thing Also, Your first dyno has lower AFR ratio at the end, which probably helpes to boost the peak power a little bit. For your car, I do not know what is the optimum AFR ratio since you have a supercharger
  17. I am using stock Injen pod filter, and have driven 18000km on it since installation.. No CEL. but my pod filter sit much more higher than non-facelift models, I can use my towel to clean my filter everytime during car wash. it is reachable by your hands.. According to my dyno, AF ratio is running very healthy, not a sign of too rich or too lean, no reason why CEL should throw. I even not reset my ECU after installation, still no CEL (of coze I reset the ECU much later on)
  18. Hey, are you going tracking with your car, you got such a great mod? it will be fast... such a hot car,
  19. Just let u know the filter in facelift model sit higher than non-facelift.. Everytime I clean my car, I can actually use my towel to clean the filter. In prefacelift model, your hand cannot even reach the filter.. You have to uue zip ties to tie up the cables, especially the lightning cables
  20. My car on Central Coast, Sydney Police checking for a AE92 in Wollomoloo near Kings Cross, most p platers with old cars cannot escape This AE92, every stock, no CAI, no exhaust, wheel cover only.. dun know what the heck the police are doing with this car. It is black top though, not sure if it is a fake black top Is it too low? there is a EG9 at the back
  21. hot, white car, white show, possibly white men
  22. That is HSV badge, I asked the same question before.. Holden Cruze is coming from Chevo Cruze, if you watch WTCC, you know what I mean Also, the V8 is sourced from Chevo as well, I am not quite sure on this point
