  1. mate i wouldnt trust me to work with a power buffer...id probably over do it..and i dont own a power buffer... im thinking about getting it professionally polished! Haha fair enough, power buffer is recommended but I had good results buffing by hand. Just need some elbow grease :) I generally avoid power buffing unless a surface is VERY bad shape (years and years of oxidization)
  2. Not to mention improved fuel economy Give this a shot next time you plan to do a full detail. http://www.meguiars.com.au/products/professional-products/mirror-glaze/swirl-remover-2-0/ Should be able to pick it up at your local Autobarn etc. Works wonders when applied correctly :)
  3. Same plug. I've done it to my 6 stacker and worked a treat. Also a side note which I discovered myself a few months ago by accident (and I dont know whether it has been covered elsewhere in the thread already but) To select AUX mode you need to have a CD in the HU. Otherwise it will keep cycling over CD mode and AUX mode. Just a quirk I found by accident :)
  4. I still like it how they were previously man. Now its starting to look too much like the standard pre-facelift lights with all the rings :(
  5. Get them to run an error report on the ECU when it gets serviced to see whether it finds anything.
  6. Something tells me this thread should be in the members ride section by now...

    DEFECT

run a pipe through the resonators, otherwise you will get a horrible hollow resonant sound in your exhaust (much like you would gutting a catalytic converter) that will make you cringe every time you hit the loud pedal
  8. As for the iPod intergration; http://www.gtacarkits.com/toyota_camry_2007_2011_car_kit.php I think a couple of members here have them on their Aurions and work like a charm. Pulling the Headunit out to install is a sinch also :) head over to the Aurion FAQ section if you've got other queries. And welcome :)
  9. My centre caps when I bought them (for the TRD's) were $86 a piece
  10. 255x35 R20 would be the size closest to the standard diameter, 0.5% difference
  11. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Best and simplest tool around for getting the right diameter I run 235x35 and 245x35 front and rear (respectively) and my speedo is out by about 8k's (reads 108 when GPS/roadside speed readouts read 100. I've just learnt to allow for it when I'm checking my speedo :P To overcome this I would need to run higher profile rubber so that the sidewalls arnt as stretched, therefore giving the higher rolling diameter. So if you are planning on running 19x9.5 rims for example, I would go for a 255x40 profile tyre, IF i wanted an accurate-ish speedo. And as for 20s, 35 is the correct profile I believe. ED: I am aware, if you put my dimensions etc in its still like 8% out :P
  12. In Vic you can go up to 2 inches higher than the diameter of the largest factory fitted wheel to that model of car. ie you can theoretically fit a 21" wheel to an Aurion being that the TRD's were released with 19's. As long as the rolling diameter remains within 1/2% of the original by fitting the correct profile tyre's (which is fair enough otherwise your speedo will be way out) In terms of width it is 1 inch wider than factory (again, TRD's are 8 inches wide, so you could fit 9" wide wheels without a problem) Offset wise you would want something within the +35 to +45 range. If your mad about stance and that then you could always go lower than 35 if you wanted. I'm running staggered 8.5" +40 offset and 9.5" +45 offset 19" wheels at the moment. Fitment wise that combo is perfect in terms of sitting flush with the guards front and rear, I just havn't lowered the car yet (and may not at all at this stage). Have had no scrubbing with carloads and corners etc thus far. That being said the tyre's are quite stretched which helps, and will down the track if I do decide to lower. Road comfort and noise didn't really suffer for me coming from 17's, if anything its a firmer ride. Noise is all dependent on the tread you decide to go with (obviously the cheaper you go, the louder it will get)
  13. Coming along nicely...needs more low though :) although I couldnt help but notice that the profile seems awfully low for an 18. It could just be the camera doing it but yeah.
  14. That P doesnt blend in at all >.< Put it in the back window? or if youve copped flack about it before for being tinted put it next to the numberplate...
  15. Camber wear could probably be moderately fixed with a decent wheel alignment. I run 19's all round and havnt noticed any uneven wear, and had an alignment done after the wheels were put on the car. Tracked alot better after that.
  16. Outside vid for sure :) Good to see something different from all the other exhaust mods out there that have been done.It certainly sounds responsive through shifts (you didn't happen to have your transmission ECU flashed to a newer revision did you?)
  17. As a point of comparison, 1 TRD 19" alloy wheel costs $430. Make no sense
  18. ^^ V8 supercar contendant for next year :P Also, http://www.j-spec.com.au/auction/TOYOTA/MARK_X
  19. Hurry up and get your rear bumper on already Chris!
  20. Does the 7" screen have any other functions besides being a reverse camera? ED: on second looks it seems to be a GPS aswell... You needa get some nice wheels onto this thing ASAP! would really set it off with the rest of the mods youve already done :)
  21. How much did the wheels cost originally? And how bad is the gutter rash. If you were to do all 4 thats well on the way to a brand new set of something. I must say though, those wheels really suite your current setup
  22. Epic story! cant wait to see this back on the road again. Pitty there arnt more of these things boosting around :(
  23. Bump - Another Camry ECU gone. If I dont have exactly the ECU your after let me know as I may have missed it (there is a lot of double ups etc)
