  1. just get everyone to meet at Homebush... looks like it's gonna be a reasonably large cruise :)
  2. there are plenty of SXs and GTi going on Toymods and Twincam for under $5000 all the time. They only get expensive when people have done 20V or -GZE engine conversions on them.
  3. corolla under $5000... that should be an immaculate condition AE92 or a fair condition AE102... i dont know about the AE102 but i do know that the AE92 actually came with 13" wheels... yes but the SX and GTi came with 14 inch mags and I wouldn't get any other model AE9* then those.
  4. can't see this thread lasting very long
  5. That's exactly why we have engineering laws. This car would never be allowed on the road in NSW with the stock brake setup.
  6. Indeed, the installation work is very good. the negatives come from... 1. The lack of accompanying mods making this car somewhat dangerous on the road 2. The remote mounting of the turbo providing quite poor lag characteristics (though quite difficult to avoided in a ZZ engine turbo setup with a large turbo) 3. A short jab my me looking for a rise because he's not using the full 8,000 RPM yet :P i havn't seen any comments knocking CES's work..quite the opposite, and we cant forget that CES only did what the customer wanted and you cant fault them for it.... Thank you for repeating exactly what I said Corey... I never disagreed I just pointed out where the negatives were and that they are not with CES's installation work for this turbo.

    Cancer

Damn Charmaine, I know you said sucky things had happened but that's awful. Be thankful that it was found though and that everything possible is being dome to help your mum :)
  8. Has anyone who lives in the Cabramatta area hit up Shift Performance yet as a possible trader for the site? They have a heap of good gear going by their website these days.
  9. I thought they went for the younger types... :P jk

  11. Have got some video clips of it on the dyno from last week on my phone. As soon as i get them off i might post them upon here. If only a 1zz picked up power and revs like this does from 3500 to 5000rpm nobody would be buying a Sportivo..... if they slapped a big turbo on a 1ZZ as well it would pick up power like that...
  12. 5000RPM, 5500RPM...???? why not just use a 1ZZ-FE...
  13. Any corolla you can get for under $5000 came with 14 inch wheels as standard, not 15.
  14. look up about 3 posts in the 'sticky' section...

    Stivo rims

yes they do. Tats used to have stivo rims on his AE101 hatch.
  16. You still will be required to pay stamp duty on the transfer of titles no matter which state you are in and this will be calculated on sale price or market value (whichever is higher) obviously yours will be on market value as the cars are 'a gift'. the values can be found using http://www.redbook.com.au
  17. yeah that would be good trade my ascent to sportivo but the thing is i already have wheels which is buddy club and body kits ..is there any way to done up my car ..anything to do to catch up sportivo's speed? Wheels and body kits can be swapped between the vehicles much easier then an engine can
  18. learn to drive :P I'm still on my original clutch.
  19. What are you on about Bill? you'd lose well over an hour filling up with petrol all the time if you did that :P
