  1. Mate, there are that many kits out there, it's ridiculous. Everyone will have a different opinion. The http://www.newhilux.net forums are dedicated to the KUN26R and have a tonne of information about suspension setups and pretty much anything else.
  2. Throw it on Gumtree in your local area and see what sort of offers you get.
  3. Through til '15, before they changed to the new shape. I have a 2013 SR Dual Cab and have only had 1 very minor issue thus far.
  4. If you are interested in the KUN26 model, I'd try and get something from 2013/on as may if the early issues were ironed out.
  5. Welcome. What are you having trouble with?
  6. If only those 2, the Advanti.
  7. Pretty much all panel beaters will outsource the blasting side of things. Cameron's Bodyworks are very well regarded, but are generally quite pricey. With bodywork, you will get what you pay for, most of the time.
  8. It's the better of the Australian pump fuels and that's about it. Also, please title title your topics with a short description about your question, not your username. I have changed it for you.
  9. I could be one of many more options, but they were just examples.
  10. What does it smell like? A wet smell? A diesel smell? A burning smell?
  11. Try to always get things in writing. You could try and fight them on it, if you are persistent enough, they might get sick of you and cave...that's a big maybe though.
  12. I would say they are coming in from the bonnet cowl, underneath the wipers. Do you leave the air vents open or on recirculate? A cheap smartphone endoscope off eBay may help to see through the vent better.
  13. The other two failed to stay relevant, in todays market, that's when PBR and other suppliers pulled the pin. PBR supplied a fair few parts to Toyota as well. I think Toyota's retreat was logical as they no longer had locally built vehicles to compete with; and as a bonus, they could cost cut at the same time.
  14. You can try source the parts yourself or have an independant mechanic source and fit them. Be sure that it is definitely the issue before throwing money at it.
  15. Which are all common things to look for on any vehicle really.
  16. Overall, they are a fairly solid rig. They aren't really known for being unreliable.
  17. If you're smart about it and shop around, you can do it for around $100, even using genuine parts.
  18. If you believe it is fuel related, it could be a fuel pump issue. I would also look at the condition of the fuel filter as well to start with.
  19. You can do online insurance quotes with various companies.
  20. Flat 4s are also a pain to work on. Probably similar over the life of the vehicle in terms of costs. There used to be a lot more support for the conversions, but that seems to have slowed a little since Road and Track closed down.
  21. No way would I do this. 60 seconds held at high RPM is a good way to throw a rod through the block and increase valvetrain wear, especially in the 2GR which has short piston skirts and relatively thin rods.
