  1. I would say yes, most factory ones are. My Hilux ones were, but I haven't looked at our Corolla yet. From memory they are the same. Just drill them out.
  2. Can you supply a pic of the exact bullbar that you have? That being said the New Hilux forums will have a lot more in depth info and more experienced owners, which may net you an answer quicker. http://www.newhilux.net
  3. The tiptronic style automatics aren't very good at replicating the manual driving experience, so I think you may be disappointed in that regard.
  4. Have you hit up Toyrolla Spares at all?
  5. I would say this is highly likely as the Sportivo name has been present in the V6 Camry lineup since 2002 and the GTP(albeit cosmetic) before that. Given the direction Toyota are looking to move in I would say it is there to stay or an equivalent will replace it, especially with increased power figures.
  6. The extra power and transmission could make for a good package, if the weight is kept the same, or reduced. While the Aurion is no slug, it could make for a genuinely fast car.
  7. The FSE used in the the Mark X made quite a bit more power than the Aurion, from memory it was up around the TRD power figure at the crank. The engine isn't new as such, just new to our market. Then again the 2GR-FE was old when it came to our market as well. The direct injection "should" be better for economy and emissions as well. The Aurion just replaced the V6 Camry anyway, so it is simply taking its place back into the market. This was always going to happen when production stopped in Australia.
  8. If you have a multimeter: Do you have voltage coming into or spark going out(don't test this with a multimeter) of the coil at all?
  9. Sounds like the gauge is poasibly dead. To confirm you could connect power and ground to the connector you disconnected from the sender.
  10. I've seen a few photos kicking around from MDS on Facebook, how is the progress on this?
  11. Pretty sure it is the same reservoir as the brakes.
  12. I thought I wrote AAI, but it appears I had AAMI stuck my head.
  13. campbeam, Just for your info. You can multi-quote using the yellow + symbol instead of creating a new post everytime you wish to quote. This is the preferred method.
  14. Please look closely at the dates on previous posts prior to posting.
  15. They are both underwritten by AAMI anyway.
  16. If it is just spinning and not throwing out you could have a starter issue, bench test if this is suspected. If it is throwing out, you could have damaged ring gear teeth. Remove the starter and manual turn the engine over by the crank pulley, inspecting the teeth as you go. If it is not responding when the key is turned, you will need to check all fuses and relays in those circuits. There may also be an issue with the ignition switch or damaged wiring.
  17. Don't scrap it immediately. Request a cylinder leak down test be done first of all, this will identify exactly where it is losing compression. Has the mechanic given and indication of what has "gone", i.e. chain broken, tensioner broken, etc.? I would seriously consider a different mechanic.
  18. Do you have a house to mortgage? Because that's what you will need. How much do you actually have budgeted for this? How serious are you?
  19. Colour means nothing, it is purely a dye. Yes this is normal. Different manufacturers use different dyes.
  20. The water is condensation from the evaporator, which is part of the HVAC unit. The hose is a drain hose from this and would be far more concerning if it wasn't dripping on hot humid days. They often block up from leaves and other debris and cause wet carpets/musky smells. The clicking could have been one of the control servos behind the dash.
  21. Short answer a huge amount of time, work and expense. Cost will be massive. Easily $15,000 plus in labour alone, if you are paying someone to do it. Anything is possible if you have enough money.
