  1. Regardless of how much the car is worth, brakes and tyres reflect on how much your life is worth. Protex make reasonable, reasonably priced rotors as well.
  2. Look to see if the slave cylinder is moving. If it isn't, bleed the slave cylinder. If that fails I would suspect the master cylinder seals or return spring are failing.
  3. Those symptoms are more likely hydraulic related. Check the clutch fluid level and condition. Also inspect for leaks. Let us know how you go.
  4. I'm not sure if they are a shared or dedicated reverse shift fork. There is likely a reverse lockout assembly as well, this usually stops you putting it in reverse when going forward. This assembly could also be damaged or seized. But if it is effectively dead ground where reverse should be, I would doubt it is a lockout issue and more likely fork related, or even worse. Did you purchase it privately or from a wreckers?
  5. While this is one is used, it is nice and cheap. It was the first type of manual that I started with years ago. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232146449818 Or there is this one which I also own, but it appears to be in far worse condition. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201730453866 Either of these would be helpful. You can buy them new, but they are quite a lot more expensive.
  6. You may have been given a dud box.
  7. Looks like it is time for you to buy a repair manual such as a Haynes or Gregorys, these will help a lot. If you are in no position to get a mechanic to do it, you need to start learning really quickly. Do not use additives, they will cause bigger problems in the long run. You probably have multiple leaks there, but always remember oil doesn't leak upwards, so always start looking at the top. For you to have oil leaks that far up the engine at the rear, pay particular attention to the valve cover seal and and the distributor o-ring. If you don't know where these compnents are, Google 5S-FE followed by the component mentioned and click on images. You may also have have a leak from the timing belt region as well. It's really hard to tell, so degreasing the engine will help to clear away a lot of this oil, then keep an eye on where it is coming from. In regards to the coolant loss, there is a good chance it is coming from the water pump.
  8. Are you the original poster(using a different account) or are you trying to help the original poster? What you are saying is making very little sense?
  9. Pretty easy if you have some basic wiring tooling and a little know how. You can buy spot light relay kits to make the job easier.
  10. It is quite likely possible, but I doubt many people, if any, would have done it. It may not be straight plug and play, but the steering wheel will physically fit.
  11. The author of this post made this post only and has not been online since the day after. You may not receive a reply.
  12. Good to hear, this is generally the case.
  13. If you use the forum search function you will find many threads on eBay and Eonon units.
  14. Looks like I ignored the severe conditions portion and did it as I have always maintained my vehicles.
  15. The GSV40 Aurions are 6 monthly and 7,500km services as per the service and warranty booklet. Not sure where you got 12 months and 15,000km from. The GSV50 is 9 months and 15,000km; once again as per the service and warranty booklet. There is no chance whatsoever that I would let the 2GR-FE engine go over 6 monthly and 7,500km services due to its well known sludging issue. I stuck with 6 monthly and 5,000km servicing whilst we owned ours. I don't know the reasoning behind the extended intervals, but I have a feeling that costs may be an influence.
  16. It sounds like the transmission may be low on fluid or being starved of fluid
  17. On behalf of the team here at Toyota Owners Club Australia, I would like to take this time to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 18. Yo may be better off getting a donor car so that you have all of the parts needed, then stripping the donor car and selling the parts.
  19. The only real option is to upgrade to the dual cab. There just isn't enough room, not to mention the cost of making it fit and making it legal.
  20. This may assist you: http://www.newhilux.net/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=16054
  21. You also made a post in an Aurion thread wanting information about a Hilux, that post has been removed. Please be patient and read carefully before posting. In regards to your question it could be either the globes or a fuse. Most likely globes if everything else works. http://www.newhilux.net may have a bit more info on the removal procedure for the trim pieces.
