cheers mate..there awesome little cars for what they are. well my alarm shat the bed about a month ago and drained my battery so i had the auto sparky around the corner from my work install a Autowatch 446RLI alarm system..i should have done way earlier, im so happy with it.the halfcut should be here within the next 2 weeks.i plan on installing the ae101 dash aswell instead of the ae92 i was going to do..so far:

ae101 LSD 4AGZE halfcut: $2300

water pump (Genuine): $119.08 (trade)

rear main seal (NON-Genuine): $11.40 (Toyota wanted $49)

Dayco timing belt kit: $82.00

still need a clutch kit (recommendations?) and supercharger oil..things like coolant and oils i get from work..there are some good things about being a mechanic!!

This project is coming along nicely.

I love the ae82 twincam hatches, owned and 88 series 2 one for 10 years and regretted selling it but had to because rust was becoming a pain in the proverbial. I wanted to do the 4agze conversion, but back then the halfcut costed 6K, then another 4K in labour costs to have it fitted professionally. When these came out brand new they were around the 17K mark if memory serves me correctly.

I wanted to get the roh casino roulette looking wheels for it similar to the ones that were used when they raced these but those wheels were stopped production many years ago.

thanks for the replies:

Come on mate, where's the Genuine Oil Filter and Seals???

hahaha 47 bucks for a rear main seal.

i would have gone light weight but heard and read bad things about them on GZE so i just didnt bother with it.

i removed the motor last night.having withdrawls already..i didnt have my camera so i took these this morning.cleaned the bay up because i wanted to paint it while it was all out.
