When selling parts usually dealers will use two prices. Some use the list price, which is what you would get charged (+GST) if you went to a panel beater or a mechanic to get parts fitted. Other dealers if selling over the counter will use a retail price, anywhere from about 5-15% mark up from list. Can be a common thing for prices to vary like that even across town.

Can be for a number of things, just pure profit, or to protect their account customers. Competition can also be a issue too...

On another note I am happy to help anyone interested in buying genuine parts at a dealership level for a good price. :)

Things are seriously busy at www.trdsales.com and so it's been a while since I checked the forum & this thread.

There's a couple of comments that need correcting that had gone unnoticed.

Sollitt Trading Co. Ltd is the only official authorised agent for TRD in New Zealand and Australia outside of the Toyota dealership network.
