I quite like it for the most part. I agree with Daryl re. a few contrast issues (this here 'Quick Reply' box being a prime example). My only other major gripe is that damned menu bar that follows you as you scroll down the page. Most of my time on TOCAU is at work, and I have my browser window as a narrow strip across the bottom of my screen. So as I scroll down, the menu bar takes up about 30% of my browsing space. A button to lock the bar to the top of the page instead of following you down would be nice.
  2. Woah, WTF happened here? Very nice!

  4. EIGHT6 would look cool IMO. To a certain dealership in Devonport?

"First" as in Off | Auto | Park | Full or no off at all? Coz the latter would be really gay.
  6. Your "Disp" button will work with any of those units. You need to wire the cars pink wire to the unit's earth wire. Or just earth the pink wire by itself.
  7. By using the search function and reading the Aurion FAQ. ;)
  8. Induction definately, exhaust, I gotta say, I think yours has the edge right now. Although when it comes to driving comfort, I beat both of you - mine doesn't make a sound! (...for now <_<) BTW Scott, if you happen to come across a wrecker locally with a broken Aurion, let me know coz theres a few bits I might wanna grab while you're at it.
  9. Matt, how does RAC feel about your TRD brakes? Is it listed as a mod on your policy or anything?
  10. Yeah I've said many times that I wish there was an Aurion ZR6 wagon. That would be almost my perfect car at the moment.
  11. Last week I found a rattle that sounds like its coming from my dash, also, which isn't related to the usual dash rattle problems or loose airvent fins. I haven't really investigated yet, but when I work out the issue I'll post my conclusions.
  12. The eyelids should fit both the pre-facelift and facelifted models, as the headlight casings are the same externally, its only the internals of the lights that are different. That said, often eyelids aren't a perfect fit anyway - they're near enough (like 95%), but they could be better.
  13. Sorry to hear about your Aurion. Such a shame, and so new, too. IMO there's hardly any visual difference between the S1 and S2 VE's (then again, is there ever). Adamsy put it best - S2 looks like someones just melted the S1 bumper a bit. As for the interior, as far as I know apart from that Holden IQ system (which can eat its own a*se), there's no other real changes in S2. Its still made from the same poor quality materials as S1. And that handbrake is especially awful. I drove a brand new WM Caprice a couple years back. For a $65k car, the interior quality was inexcusable.
  14. BGPete wasn't so lucky. Have you seen his avatar?! With a profit like that, Toyota are unlikely to be in anything close to resembling trouble. Hell even a $2.3bn loss wouldn't necessarily qualify as "in trouble". In fact, many companies (especially SME's) are deliberately run to never post a profit.
  15. If it fit the pre-facelift, I'd have been all over that sh*t!
  16. I get the feeling there's some confusion here as to the intended meaning of "twin system"? You're talking about your exhaust, aren't you. Scott? Or is there something you haven't shared with us yet? <_<

Ah, yes I see the woodgrain now. Couldn't tell on my work screen. Its not a terribly overbearing amount of woodgrain though. And the bit it has doesn't look that bad. I could almost live with that! Although I'd just take the SX I think. Side point, interesting that they've gone for SX instead of ZR for their premium sports model.
  18. I have 1... but its kinda stuck to my car.;)

No woodgrain in SL? Oh, what a shame.
  20. At which point the system already works. They're removing themselves. Unless a computer can predict the future and 100% guarantee I won't crash, I don't want it driving my car for me any more than it already does.
  21. Yeah that's what I thought, but it seemed a bit redundant.
  22. Cheers guys Yeah probably would look better without towbar, but I use it enough that I don't really want to get rid of it. And even if I did take it off, i'd have to get a new rear skirt or somehow fill that gaping towbar hole. Still trying to work out, too, why theres a fitting for a light in that red section of the taillamps. Can't for the life of me think of anything that would have gone there!
  23. Also, I've always despised that d!cky trailer plug bracket that sticks out 17 miles (possible slight exaggeration) to the left ot the towbar tongue, so while I had it off to get the rear skirt off, I got the bracket modified to sit directly beneath the tongue. Looks much tidier now. You can see it some of the pics above, but I'll get a better photo later. Now I just gotta repaint my bloody towball cover.
  24. Ordered some Thai Hybrid taillights recently too. Just received them today and fitted them after work. These are the Toyota Genuine ones out of Thailand, not the Mars ones that have popped up recently. I figured for the little extra cash and wait time, the genuine article was going to be the better product. (Forgive the woeful phone photos. Will get some better ones over the weekend.)
