  1. Sad thing is i don't think we had being drinking when the idea randomly came outta my gob hahaha Sure we had - we'd been drinking LIFT!
  2. There is an injector cleaner additive you can buy from Toyota. Myself and Adamsy have used it, pretty sure my old man put it through his V6 Hilux too. Was pretty good stuff IMO.
  3. My mate, regarding a ST18x Celica not entirely unlike his own: "I can tell thats an import model, coz its too narrow to be the widebody." "Nah mate, thats the widebody."
  4. Carline shops are mostly independently owned. The tips my local shop sells may be from a different supplier than yours. All I can tell you is that they are 3" double walled, angle-cut stainless tips. If I had my time over, I'd get 4" next time, but they're probably a bit more expensive. Adamsy has Supercat brand ones that are almost identical to mine, except his are 4". Whichever way you go, you may need them cut off at the back before they weld them on or they may stick out too far from your bumper. Make sure you let your installer know that you want the top edge to line up with the bumper.
  5. @Cal, Wouldn't have a clue on price, you'd be best to call up an exhaust shop and ask how much to cut your tips off and weld new ones on. As for the place, was my local Carline Exhaust shop. Most exhaust shops would have a similar if not identical product available, and they'd probably be cheaper too when you take into account the cost of shipping some from Tas. @Jeffy, Go for it mate.
  6. They do look tops. What'd they set him back?
  7. Need some PICs mate!!! Oh crap! Forgot all about that! Cheers for the reminder. Pics coming tomorrow night guys.
  8. Cheers guys. @Cal, bought them from a local exhaust shop for about $50 each. Had them fitted at work for free (I work for a welding firm).
  9. Especially when the car is older than the kid behind the wheel!
  10. Not massively changing the skirt, just some minor changes to that and the spoiler.
  11. Cheers mate. They're actually not that hard to do. They come pre-wired and have the connectors in the pack to tap into your existing taillight wiring. Didn't do it by the packet though - I added my own extra connections behind the bumper, and soldered everything instead of using the included taps. Even with my extra work, the whole job took me an hour tops.
  12. Is this you volunteering your services, Mr Salesman? :P
  13. Minor changes part II: While getting my bumper (amongst other things) painted the other week, I had them paint the black plastics around the lower grille and fog lamps, colormatched to the black/grey of the Sportivo grille.
  14. OK, some minor changes. Got some lights from RStyle to replace the reflectors in the rear bumper. I got clear ones to match those clear taillights off the Thai hybrid model when I eventually get some. And nope, nobody's run off with my rear skirt. I took it off for reasons to be revealed next week.
  15. YUM! its usually the half grown duck, though i hate the white hard part inside this. i never knew the english name for this and now i know. :D with pepper and salt and vietnamese hot mint! i shall give u some "balut" when u come here next year for the annual D. how about a tray full? LOL I know what it is.. it's called an embryo, fetus, hasn't had a chance at life yet, still birth. altho, I'm guilty of having tried it once.. wasn't the best experience I tell ya So.... you're a pro-lifer then? My views on abortion notwithstanding, this 'delicacy' sounds awful. I'll stick with my scrambled with bacon.
  16. Not so much eaten as swallowed, but, my multi. Smells like my wheelie bin and doesn't taste much better, and repeats on you for half the morning. Delicious. One of my friends loves her steak blue. I can't bring myself to try it. Medium-well or GTFO, thanks.
  17. Got a question for you guys who've de-spoilered, or even just removed it temporarily. Pulled my boot spoiler off last night so I could take it in for some custom paintwork. Along with bolts and clips, it was also held on with some hardcore sticky stuff, half of which remains stuck to the boot. Has anybody found an easy way of getting the rest of the sticky crap off the boot without hurting the paint?
  18. Those Brembo's aren't that much pricier than buying the genuine TRD front package. With that sort of difference, though, as has been said, definately a 4 corners upgrade, not just the fronts. EBD can only do so much. And on that thought, given the ECU doesn't no the balance between front and rear brakes has changed, EBD probably wouldn't be able to counter it anyway. Since when does that matter to Falcon owners? I thought the extent of the Falcodore philosophy was to be the fastest when dragging each other at the lights.
  19. You've gotta be f@%#ing kidding me? Bollocks. I have a few dents in my rear quarter panel. Better go get them fixed under warranty, because its definately more likely that they were there from factory than having been caused sometime during the last few years. And even if they were'nt there from new, they should fix it anyway coz the metal is too thin to resist dents when careless people push their trolley's into it.
  20. Price drop!!! First post updated.
  21. This. Besides, my taste in music is awesome. Who wouldn't want to listen to it!
  22. I'd buy that. P_T, not sure I agree on the boot spoiler. IMO the JZA80 looks better with just the subtle lip and no spoiler too.
  23. Performance cars regularly use slotted rotors without issue. Unless you got a dud set (its a manufactured product, it happens sometimes) chances are the rotors themselves aren't the root cause of your problem, and definitely don't warrant a statement like "never buying slotted rotors again". People are so fickle these days - one less than perfect experience and they'll hold a grudge forever.
  24. You know its a slow day on TOCAU when I'm in the top 3 posters!
