    2012 Camry

+1 for the not liking the bumper party. It looks too big and clumsy under those sleek, aggressive headlights (which I do like, very much). Can't say I'm a fan of those wing mirrors either, or the playstation looking steering wheel controls. I do like the general design of the interior though - streaks ahead of the current model. My only gripe is that the cup holder needs a cover like in current Aurion. Also, about the dash top - its obviously meant to look leather wrapped, but to me it looks like the semi-soft plastic like in current Aurion (and I assume therefore Camry), but with the stitching added to make it look like its leather. Does it look fake to anybody else?
  3. Unless you buy a TRD. Then you get a spacesaver. In addition to the points on rotations, this doesn't apply if you have directional tyres. With directionals you can only swap the front wheel of each side with the back wheel of the same side as directional tyres are designed to only spin a certain direction. For this reason you should never have a directional spare, and shouldn't include your spare in your wheel rotation.
  4. Cheers for testing that. This is all kinds of awesome. Damn you, now I've gotta find $600! Haha.
  5. You're not going to get any benefit from swapping with your spare. The plugged tyre will be just as safe and work just as well as an undamaged one - it wouldn't be legal if it wasn't. Plus if you're rotating your tyres properly, the plugged tyre will spend up to 60,000kms on the road eventually anyway.
  6. Great find, Steven. Excellent news. Much, much cheaper than buying the TRD setup! Shame they wouldn't fit in the stock 17s. :(
  7. Ha! Stop desecrating my sales, you!
  8. Disc run out? In new rotors? As for your pads, I'm running the HPX pads in the front and they've been good. Several guys here use them and have been happy with them. Personally I install my own rotors. If I ever need to get them machined I'll just go to my local Toyota dealership. Also, if it is your mechanics fault, I'd be hitting him up for the expense of rectifying his c*ckup.
  9. My '07 Aurion has just ticked over the 100,000km mark and still going strong. No major issues, just a few interior rattles all of which you're just as likely to find on one with 50,000kms. Only 10,000kms into its second set of tyres, and the factory brake rotors have only just become necessary for machining/replacing.
  10. Possibly. Sling me your postcode and I'll let you know.
  11. Item: RDA Slotted Rotors (Pair) to suit Aurion front Condition: Used, less than 1000km Price: $100 plus postage $80 plus postage SOLD Reason for sale: Car involved in an accident, mechanic says rotors weren't damaged but insurance company replaced them anyway. Pics: Stay tuned - will post tonight after work.
  12. Damn that's fast! So.... who want's to buy me one?
  13. Back end makes me think of the Laser Lynx, which kinda ruins it for me.
  14. DBA4000 are some of the best street rotors money can buy. Forget the rotors. Replace your mechanic!
  15. Nope. She can choose hers (to an extent), I'll choose mine.
  16. Build myself a nice house, something big, with plenty of entertaining space and a well decked out music studio, and a big basement garage to house my (eventually) large car collection. Build some investment properties. Open a nightclub, and a selection of bars in various cities. Donate some to worthy causes. Give some to family and friends. Cars for me, well finish my Aurion mods, and buy an ISF for a second daily. SSV ute for a ran-around bus transporting gig gear, tools, and other manly stuff. Aston Martin DBS or Vantage for a weekend car. These would be the start of my collection, and will add more using the profit from my various investments. Invest the change in a mix of term deposits and shares. Oh, I forgot from the original question: Car for my wife? I don't have a wife.... ...Maybe buy a wife?
  17. Have a look at the photos of the combination meter ... this is included. That would be good... With now 204kW we shouldn't technically see any going around with P plates on them... in queensland atleast. Slightly disappointed there's no D4-S for the new model This ^ No significant power gain, less pretty than our pre-facelift 1st gens. Unless the ZR6 has significantly more aggressive styling, I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy one. The way everybody's going for integrating everything with the head unit ****s me, too. If I want to have a Pioneer HU, I should be able to install a Pioneer HU, without having to sacrifice my air con, etc.
  18. I'm in much the same boat as DJ. I find that the convex mirrors are no worse than flat mirrors. Possibly even better. You can see more with the convex mirrors, and the over-shoulder check will confirm whether what you see in your mirror is far enough back to pull out. My only gripe with them is that they're a pain in the ***** when backing a trailer.
  19. Alternatively, pay for your parking or park within the posted limit, and you won't get clamped?
  20. This from the man with a disturbingly large number of Taylor Swift songs in his playlist.
  21. WIN! DOUBLE WIN!! Same/ similar as these fellas, but i take it to a whole different level, with Eurodance, Euro-Hard Trance and Uk Happy Hardcore<< the main one... there is no better Happy Hardcore then HTID (Hardcore Til I Die!) Evo Oh yeah, how could I forget hardcore! Though for me its the less happy of the hardcores - namely Freeform.

  23. "U mirin' killawasps, brah?" Not really a speeding excuse, but still worth a mention... Couple weekends ago a few of us decided to go for a nice cruise through some backroads. Was a warm, clear, sunny day, so the last thing we expected was thick ice all the way down a hill after a blind corner. Long story short it ended in a loss of traction, an insurance claim and therefore police being called to attend. So here we are, expecting some middle aged bloke to show up on a mission, and see 3 young guys with 3 separate cars and assume we were being d!ckheads (we weren't). Eventually the cop, probably late 20's, pulls up in his police issue XT Falcon, and the first words out of his mouth - "holy sh*t, I had her sideways coming down there!"
