  1. Forgot to put up the photos of the new rear paintwork I mentioned a few posts ago. All blacks colormatched to the front grille. Here they are...
  2. That second video is much cooler. (and much quicker when you're doing 180 past speed cameras <_<)

I agree on slowing down if it's not safe to change lanes. I do both. My point is that when I get to the merge point of an on-ramp doing 110, a bit of common courtesy suggests that they should let me in as I would do for them. Instead, I find my self jumping on the stoppers most times. Since when is it illegal to change lanes over 80kmph? That would make overtaking illegal.
  4. The optional interim services apply fo as long as your driving in conditions that necessetate interim servicing. Like Adamsy said, bumper to bumper traffic, extreme temperature conditions, regular thrashings, etc. They're still optional, and therefore not doing them won't effect your warranty. Once you're out of your new car warranty and into your extended warranty, the "compulsory" (for want of a better word) intervals in your service book go out the window in favour of the intervals as stated in your warranty policy. So the fact Aurion has ordinary 15,000 and optional 7,500 intervals, even if your extended warranty agreement says you get your car serviced once a week or every 500kms, thats when you do it if you want to keep your warranty valid.
  5. Ah. Not quite. Only in the USA. I believe its in their design rules that every vehicle manufactured after 1996 must be OBDII compliant. In Australia, though, there's no requirement for that (unless its been added in the past year or 2).
  6. Interim services are the optional 7,500km/6 month services as shown in your service book. IIRC they're pretty much just an oil and filter change. I imagine start date for your dealer warranty service intervals may differ between providers. I'd take a look at your policy and see if its mentioned in there. If your service advisor has said its based on date of purchase, theres a good chance thats the case.
  7. Hey juice I had a look at the elm Bluetooth units on eBay and non of them say aurion or camry 06. Which one did you get? Cheers OBDII is OBDII (for the most part). Any non-manufacturer-specific ELM unit (and I'd hazard a guess that any ELM unit at all) should be able to pull the universal codes and data from your Aurion,.

By extension of this, people who don't move over to allow someone to merge. Sure, its not law (at least in Tasmania), but a bit of courtesy never ***king hurt anybody - if the somebody's merging and the its safe to move into the right lane, do so and get the **** out of the way!
  9. Common issue. You'll find what you're looking for in the Aurion FAQ or by doing a search.
  10. So this can be done without removing the seat back? Hmmm. Its been a while since I've done it, and I already had my seats out at the time for other stuff, so I've never bothered to try it with the seat in place.
  11. Functional or not, IMO the red section in the hybrid lights look better than the lights without it. I've been racking my brains trying to think of a unique function for these sections (with the spoiler, taillights and bumper lower lights I don't think I need any more brake lights), but for the life of me I can't think of a damn thing! Perhaps sound active lights for my subwoofer (note: sarcasm)?
  12. Just noticed this while editing my sig. Not that that's any excuse for people not reading and abiding by requirements as outlined in this thread and in the rules, but perhaps it should be altered for the sake of consistency?
  13. Forgot to write these up as sold.
  14. I'm thinking of getting some new ones, so I'd be selling the ones on my car. PM sent.
  15. As the name implies, is a diagnostic port. OBDII software can read error codes and live data, but its only a reader. Toyota can use it to change some settings with their IT (intelligent tester), but unless you're keen to throw stacks of money at buying an IT (if you could even buy one at all) you'll have to bit the bullet and go see your dealership. Most dealers don't usually charge to program keys or change settings with the IT anyway.
  16. Your left nut bears a passing resemblance to an Aurion? You should maybe see a doctor about that.
  17. You have the paint code, what more do you need? Or are paint suppliers coming up blank when they use the code?
  18. That sounds good enough for me. Cheers. I think I'll give it a go.
  19. Can you vouch for this product, Pete? I use this at the moment, but not really happy with it.
  20. Better bring it round and let an expert take a look. :P
  21. Looks like thats the same concept as the PAC unit? Yeah the PAC-SWI is pretty pricey in store. I picked mine up brand new on eBay for about AU$60 delivered from the US.
  22. By steering stalk, do you mean one of those remotes that clips to your steering wheel rim to remote control your head unit? If so, then yeah that's the simplest, but not the best solution IMO. With a bit of wiring knowledge (or at least soldering and instruction-following ability) your best bet is to get a Kenwood compatible PAC-SWI unit (make sure your head unit is compatible with a wired remote first, of course) which will allow you to use your standard steering wheel controls. As Hamster said, a search and some reading could have told you this. Or the FAQ.
  23. Ah, the old Lexus engine chestnut. You should badge her as a Lexus, to be as awesome as all the blokes in their Chevrolet's.
