  1. That is the exact spot I had in mind. An oil pressure and transmission temp gauge. I have a scangague so already have exact coolant temp and other things. On a 1999 SSS Nissan Pulsar the oil pressure would drop a bit at around 5-6000km which told me it was time for an oil change. Not sure what will happen on this car..
  2. The light I have is stedi - from their website and its mounted on a numberplate bracket - also from stedi. Will take a few more pictures tomorrow but the fitting was pretty easy. The wiring harness all connected easily, alternator has no problems with it... I did buy - as an extra to the light, a switch that fitted exactly into a blank switch spot on the dash (to right of steering wheel). This allows me to turn it on, meaning it comes on with high beam or off, meaning it does not come on at all.
  3. Has anyone installed oil pressure, transmission temp or oil temperature gauges? If so, where did you mount them? I have an oil pressure gauge coming and think it will go below the stereo but not 100% sure
  4. I have the stedi 1000lumen parker led globes but I live in Orange so its not hard to be out of town so I also have a led light bar. They are very common here. It is far wider and longer beam than headlights.
  5. So... has anyone found a rear brake upgrade (other than different pads)? Are there larger discs and callipers that bolt on? I have kluger disc, caliper on front, lowered, kyb shocks, larger rear sway bar, 245/45/18 tyres... so the rear brakes are the last of this type of things I would like to do.
  6. I took 1 muffler off for a day, the drone was pretty bad as reported above. My reasoning was to ditch the weight. Too loud, put it back on.
  7. The stedi lights have a wire, about 5cm long that fits the existing parking light t10 fitting. The body of the light- the orange part fits into the headlight body in the same way the small, original t10 globe fits in. As a reverse light, no idea, I have not tried.
  8. The high beam also turns on the led bar, its stedi too. Very good for driving out of town and seeing foxes and kangaroos on the roadside or far up the road so I dont have to hit them.
  9. Just for comparison, no lights, parkers only, low beam.
  10. Some photos. They don’t really show the parkers well, they
  11. They are pretty much like Led drl’s that newer cars have
  12. I have them as parkers, they just fitted straight in to the light housing and the wire on the globe fits straight into the car wiring plug.
  13. Just fitted these https://www.stedi.com.au/t10-t15-high-power-reverse-parker-upgrade.html because my previous led t10 globes, one side anyway, started flickering after about a year. These have. 2 year warranty and are many times brighter than the previous ones, which I thought were ok. Easy to fit...
  14. Over $2000 to supply and fit standard height springs? Thats about $400 an hour for labor..... I have king low with 245/45/18. The tyre diameter is larger than stock. The top of the rear tyre is slightly hidden if I get down level with it. The top of the front is visable just
  15. My other half has RE003 which I like, and they have lasted fairly well on it. They are stock 215/60/16. The price was great in that size, $130 each.
  16. In Orange NSW in winter it is often minus a few degrees in the morning and we have already had a day with a max temp of 6.
  17. I use 5-30 or 40 or 0w-30 or 40. Either Penrite or Nulon and half a can of liqui moly - so there is the graphite. It looks like slightly used oil with the liqui moly in the oil, not thick black like the video oil. My 2007 and wifes 2009 get the same. The reason I use it is that in my 1999 SSS pulsar I had lots of bolt on bits including an accurate temp gauge. It ran about 5 deg C cooler with liqui moly. I tried with and without several times and kept getting the same result. Anyway- my 2007 has 256 000km and it is all happy.
  18. My 2007 has 253000 km. It started out as a rental car... so probably had a hard early life. I have no issues at all. I replace oil at 5-6000 km intervals depending on the rest of my life... I am a bit hesitant to believe codes, the sensors that report them seem to be the problem as much as the problem they indicate.
  19. I got the letter for my 2007 - 253 000km. The dealer took it to look and then said they need to order the part so I have to take it back...still, it is pretty good to get a warranty service at this age.
  20. Did the car stop as you were driving or did a light get left on? What led to the flat battery?
  21. What the dealership would charge could probably buy a fair bit of petrol...
  22. I tried, locksmith would only do a key that he sold me
  23. Mine has 251 000km. At 193 000km when I got it there was rattle on start. I use 0-30 or 0-40 oil and replace every 5 to 8000km. The rattle has pretty much gone, it happens less than once a month. I have no idea if it is the frequent oil changes but I cant think of any other reason for it going away
