  1. I find changing gears around about 3.5Krpm makes you move away from the pack of cars no problems.....changing at 2.5krpm makes them stay with you.
  2. only thongs are illegal......and maybe sandels too...........bare feet are fine!!
  3. Pretty sure its different........even the US corollas are different........let alone the matrix
  4. ADR compliant means jack to the insurance companies....better be careful
  5. Yep fibreglass is very very nasty stuff
  6. Gains wouldn't be massive I would imagine, but lower underbonnet temps would be a nice welcome. Go get the stocked headers ported, ceramic coated and thermo wrapped while your at it. If you go with a larger Internal diameter exhaust headers then you would need the insulation to maintain the velocity. For the $30 its not expensive.....its just a PITA to wrap them up. Cheers
  7. HCNY!! Going to Star City tonight for some prosperity LOL!! :D
  8. I hear braces..............make sure u fasten them properly....man in an accident I would be worried... :(
  9. Shoudn't need to replace the 2.4L, is it that bad though?? If looked after, the engine in the Vans last forever.
  10. All really depends on how far you want to go in terms of modifications. Some people want the best, some simply can't justify spending that much.
  11. 4ga is plenty, 2ga and then you might run into some wire running problems. While your at it, why not try upgrading the grounding system in your car?? I'm doing that at the moment, the stock ground wire is not really that good.
  12. Would the E-manage be a better option as it has more detailed tuning available, or is the camcon that much better??
  13. "You don't make friends with salad, You don't make friends with salad" By Homer and Bart Simpson......lol
  14. Its actually red, the photo didn't turn out properly. I just followed the instructions that ZAV posted up, you can purchase all the required components at D_i-C=K Smith or Tandy.
  15. I thought a sub section already existed with the group buys and the other one (non-auto)....
  16. Why don't you try a local mechanic or something?? I'm sure there is one available that won't steal from you.
  17. Been in a sportivo with a cannon muffler only.............low end was really really bad...........personally would prefer stock or full aftermarket with ported headers.
  18. I really don't think the mods will approve. Update It turns out that I got the polarity mixed up with the LEDS that are not working, but I need some more LEDs to correct the problem with the bright red spot. Wait for pictures around midday tomorrow, It will be done by then. It is now completed, I have also changed the air con LED to light up blue when its on!! Enjoy!! Cheers
  19. Well I've got to make a trip back to DS to get some more LEDS and resistors as I would need to bend the LED to face down completely for it to not show the red dot. I haven't fixed it yet, but at the moment it looks awesome at night. I'm also considering changing the colour of the AC to blue if possible. Well if you know how to use a soldering iron and some small long nose pliers then its not hard at all...just really fiddly thats all. I'm going all DIY for my car, saving a bit of money and doing some creative thinking. I'm thinking of creating a more free flowing exhaust tip with a milo tin, what do you guys think?? lol
  20. I have performed some research onto this device and its so far so good. Although the auto learning feature of the stock ecu will eventually revert the car back to stock performance in the long run, its good that we can turn it on or off. So such as running on the track or at the strip it can be used and then turned off during normal commuting.
  21. Well lets see. LEDS at ***** Smith cost $16.50 for 10. Resistors cost 60cents for 10. For me it should cost me only $17.10... A soldering Iron should cost around $15 - $20 and some solder would be about $3, so if you don't already have the tools then I would expect it to cost about $40 all up. But I would factor in some errors, so your looking around $20 to be honest. I still haven't determined yet whether the LEDS don't work, or i just didn't get the polarity right. Will know by tomorrow, or maybe tonight.
  22. Just below the glovebox if I'm not mistaken, and you shouldn't need to run any wires...its just intercepting the wires from the ECU
