Not much of an update but here are the Kics NEO R26 lug/lock nuts installed. They replace the gay pink ones I had previously.

Getting road tyres tomorrow as the semi's are dead and it gets abit hair raising to drive in the wet. Also witnessed as an indian reversed into my car and attempted to drive off (we shall not go there), minimum damage but managed to get me raging somewhat lol

Thanks for looking

Just a minor update. Not a whole heap happening really, just a few bits here and there. Good to catch up with a few of you guys at the last Toyota meet.

save48.jpg

Cusco master cylinder brace. Bit of a bitch to install, managing to snap a bolt when tightening the one that holds the middle one. Other than that, works pretty well. Car stops abruptly and without much incident, love not having ABS.

5w077m.jpg

Perhaps abit of a '**** factor' but I replaced some of the vacuum hoses with Samco high temp ones' I got when I was at World Time Attack. Also changed the intake pipe to a 4AFE one as mine has cracked, doens't fit the airbox exactly but I'll get 'round to fixing it. Seem to have the rev-hunt issue sorted.

wqqkn.jpg

And of course, a fake/replica/non-genuine Bride VIOS Low Max (flame suit). As a reminder, my SSCUS wasn't real either but that didn't stop me from track racing. The VIOS is a snug fit which will come in handy when I come back to motorsport (August anyone?)

That's about it really

Thanks for looking

NOICE vids trung! lol pure sex is this car in person its even more sex lol. have u digested the 2 GTTs and teggie yet? :P

Thanks man, as for the digesting the other cars'; I manage the Skylines fairly easily but a Type-R Integra with a decent driver has me done at Winton. Corolla can't/won't match the pace of race ready car unless you spend a fair bit on it. I can keep up with the S15's and WRX's ok.

Cheers Lee, I do like your matte black wheels! *I may be a tad bias there haha

Ok so did a few things since the last time

2uijae1.jpg

I discovered that my original intake pipe had a crack in it, so replaced it with a 4AFE intake pipe but that was just fail. Knowing my brother had a CAI from one of his previous cars, I took that intake pipe and took my other brothers' new HKS mushroom filter to make my new intake. Bought a silicone coupler and a few other bits to complete it.

dfeh07.jpg

Makes a loud induction noise from about 4000rpm to red line. Will get around to making a heat-shield for it and swapping to a better cold air feed.

2iqmxpg.jpg

GAB brace. HKS filter.

2di3sk2.jpg

Also had an Apex'i RSM (Rev/Speed Meter) fitted for free from a Toyota electrical engineer. Pretty awesome functions for a old unit;

Rev/speed. Max rev/speed

0-100 kph / 0-400m sprints

odometer

Currently shows max rev (x10rpm)

353ayx4.jpg

Current interior. Doesn't look like I can see the RSM but I manage ok.

Ride height isn't that low to be honest.

Thanks for looking.

For those that may or may not have known, my car suffered a blown head gasket and so rather than just replacing the H/G, I've decided to go one better and replace the head with the ported one I sold previously.

2zg58n5.jpg

The head had the ports mildly ported/cleaned up and were chemically cleaned. It's now at the workshop for reassembly (w/ new valve stem seals) and check clearances. Pictured also are some semi adjustable cam gears and big port cams. The cams offer slightly more lift and duration (240degree duration/7.56mm lift vs 232 degree/7.1mm lift) for $50, I'm not complaining. Should be purchasing a 1mm TODA head gasket next week for a bit more compression. Anyway, bring on Winton and 1.47 baby! (when it's done anyway)

cheers

Since that photo, the head was taken to a head specialist to have the head reassembled with the cams and new valve stem seals along with clearances check ect, that cost me $864 for labour and the VRS kit.

Now, the car has been towed to the workshop and will have the following parts fitted:

head

TODA 1.0mm head gasket (slightly raised compression)

JDM reinforced/strengthened head bolts

GReddy Timing Belt

replace all accessory (alternator/power steering/ water pump) belts

replace water pump

replace oil/oil filter

Have another set of wheels coming from Japan and will be wrapped up in brand new Bridgestone RE55S semi slicks for November track day. Have a few more parts here/there needed to be either bought or fitted. Have booked car in for two track days in November.

Pics will come. Thanks.

Hey Mick,

VRS kit was $260 for an ACL one, should have bought yours but that's life for you. They reassured that the ACL kit was good enough for anything from daily to motorsport usage. Guess I'll have to wait and see
