I personally wouldn't know, but I sure would hate the epic job of cleaning my car afterwards. Air filter will be toast as well.

I'm letting my kids stay home with me today so that my car stays in the garage....it's gross out there the dust storm is no good for kids or anyone's lungs!!

Dj, I washed and waxed my car yesterday.. Think how I feel right now. lol.

Mish, thats a good option.... except the fact the kids are home. lol.

Ken, same here.

When the dust is gone, do people suggest pulling out the air filter and giving it a few slaps?

This sand sucks. Especially when you have asthma! But yeah I'm staying home. not going into uni today

I'd say it's probably a good idea. I popped open my hood earlier, and my engine bay is also orange! So I imagine after my drive this morning, that the air filter is probably covered in dust too.

Have the car in garage today. This is where the rolla will stay.

Might not have it as bad as Sydney today as yet but it is getting an eerie glow here in Coffs Harbour.

It is supposed to reach Brisbane by Lunchtime today.

My car was in a garage, garage window was open, yet still had a blanket of orange dust on the car. Saw some people out with hoses rinsing their cars, I just drive by with a smile, knowing that it'll attract more dust when wet.

Anyone who drove/is driving during the dust storm, I would strongly recommend doing an oil change including replacing the oil filter.

looks like it could be heading our way too... would be pretty cool to see... but i don't really want (or want my cars) to breathe it in.

damn it, i only drive my car twice a week, and today is one of those days

it's not as bad as the pics in sydney, but the blue sky in brisbane has been replaced by very light orange
