Both the first and second appeal to me but if I was buying I would opt fot the second ones

What are you going to do with the stock wheels and how much would you want if you were to sell them

got a price for some Federal 595s for the new rims... $180ea... fuqn rippa!! :D

in other news, i replaced the middle muffler with just straight pipe today... best $50 i've ever spent!!

seriously sounds soooo tough now!

the burble/popping on over run is making me change down gears just for fun now...

fuel economy has gone through the roof now though... :( haha

and now the 'wet fart' noise on gear changes has become a 'thunderous-scare-young-children-and-old-people wet fart' noise... :P so much win!! :D

  • 4 weeks later...

bought an intercooler/intake kit today...

500x400x3.5 core size

2.5inch hot piping

3inch cold piping

4inch Intake System

Alloy Airbox

Factory Battery re-location

a bit pricey, but apparently its a good kit.

this is what it looks like:

gotta get it installed along with the injectors/exhaust and then tuned...

i read that it probably wont go over 300kw without valve springs and modifying the turbo (different actuator and porting the wastegate flap or something like that)...

if i hit 300kw at the wheels, i'll be stoked...

anything under 280kw and i'll be ****** off... :D

after talking with the guy i'm buying the fmic/intake from last night... i'm slightly horny... :P

he reckons he has tuned quite a few cars with the same mods as mine and they are getting between 330-350kw... :D :D :D

he also said to take the car to him in sydney and he'll tune it and throw in a e85 tune for free... long way to take a car for a tune though.. :(

Are there many Caltex or any other pumps that offer e85 out there in QLD? And did you ask him how much the system is valued?

well, the new rims went on without any dramas... still have to put the centre caps on, but no scrubbing at all...

i hit a fair size bump on the way back to work and nothing...

time will tell once i have people in the rear though... i may have to pump the rear guards. :)

anyway... here's some pics until i get a chance to take some proper shots. :)

dont go putting these rims on your car again!!! hehehehe kidding!

i love them... the rear end could go a smidge lower, but maybe one day i'll put coilovers under her so i can get it sitting flatter. :)

no "SS"... i couldnt get them in the right size and load rating. :(

just the normal 595's... supposedly still a good tyre. :)
