Lesson Learnt:

never work on a car in a rush...

turns out i installed the bov the opposite way around...

i'm 87.34% sure that i checked that it was the right way... but then i gave it to a mate to hold while i grabbed my pliers...

he musta moved it around in his hand and i didnt re-check it...

so anyway, last night at the meet, THE bush mechanic has a mate who is equally, if not more of a bush mechanic than he is!!!

all i have to say is that if McGiver(spelling?) was there, even HE would have been impressed...

two screwdrivers + zip ties = pliers!

anyway, after i realised last night and switched it back, it drives a lot better and i'm back to the loud PSCHHHTTTTT sound which i didnt really want... haha

okay...

so here is some specs... i guess i just have to do some measurements over the weekend to see where they will sit...

i know the rims will fit the falcon, just not sure on how close to the guards they'll be...

Front:

Stock - 8" +36

New - 8.5" +35

Result: 5mm closer to the strut and 7mm further out.

Rear:

Stock - 8" +36

New - 9.5" +35

Result: 18mm closer to the strut and 20mm further out.

my thoughts are that the fronts are fine, but the rear guards may need to be rolled...

i'll measure the stock clearances over the weekend and post up my results...

sooooooo, turns out that i hadnt installed it incorrectly the first time.

the standard bov has the positive pressure side entering from the side, not the base like most aftermarket bovs... lol

stupid ford/bosch made me question myself!! :P

thanks for the comments on the pictures... but its all RayRei's work... :)

anyone handy with a welder?

i need to cut the flange off and weld a standard ford flange on it so it can match up with the standard cat...
