I am concerned with ramifications of associated “life” necessities, such as the increase costs of food.

The only link betwen food prices and fuel prices is that the stupid green-loving biofuel idiots are using all the world's cash crops to makes ethanol. Prices of staple grains are soaring.

Fuel prices make me wish i had of bought a massive storage tank a few years ago and then used it now...

Im pretty keen to get a BP card or a Shell card (probably BP coz thats where i work) just to get the fuel price reduced (bulk payment)

  • 2 weeks later...

I dont understand why all these experts are saying "The barrel price MIGHT be going over US$xxx"... WTF? Of course it will eventually! As oil becomes more scarce it will definitely become more expensive. And then there are the OPEC idiots controlling how much supply is out there... None of this MIGHT crap, of course it will top US$200/barrel eventually, hey maybe the AU$ will be topping the US$ by then :P

Has anyone here looked into the homemade hydrogen systems that are becoming popular amongst the DIYer's overseas

AKA: Water powered hybrids.

Thinking I might give it a test run on the charade, its not a toyota, so no worries if it kills it.

Side note: why is 'toyota' not in the spell checker's dictionary?

Hehe... that MIGHT :P be a plausible option soon.

If US recessionary issues keep continuing, and the Australian money supply continues to contract, we might see an even dollar.

We can only hope... (Strong dollar + inelastic mineral demand from China = awesome.)

How much that will slow our petrol price hike - I have absolutely no idea, though

Side note: why is 'toyota' not in the spell checker's dictionary?

No its not... but Toyota is. With a capital T.
