its because we don't want to draw that kinda of attention on ourselves. there's nothing wrong with admiring nice cars....but good to make less of a scene when in a big group. so we might stick to the quieter suburbs and good old winding back roads to get to our destinations...........:D

Agreed. Call me naive, but the last thing we need is gang sort of stuff happening (eg holden vs ford, us vs them).

Others (non-TOCAs) may not realise that we just want to put faces and cars to names.

Speaking of which, should we notify the police if we gather in large numbers? Perhaps Today Tonight??? (they're always looking for good stories...) LOL.

Indeed. Its best if we can go to a place were we have it to ourselves. Best not to go into that situation, theres allot of morons out there just looking for trouble.

Am I really the only person who wants to drive 1000ks EACH WAY for something more than a cruise, dyno day and some doughnuts?

Surely there is something Sydney has to offer that we cant do in Brisbane, and please dont say Krispy Kremes, cause I was very disappointed when I went to sydney to pickup my car and walked into the airport KK store . . . . . . .

cmon man, the whole point of this cruise isnt to just go to sydney and see the sights they have to offer (altho the mountains are an exception :) )...anyone can do that in their own time when they have a spare weekend lying around..

the whole point of this cruise/meet up imo is to actaully put name to faces from this wacky forum of ours...and its not everyday that the majority of corollas in aus can actually meet up in the same spot and and have a laugh together....

be a bit more positive yO

there are 52 weeks in a year and all i'm asking is to please make an effort to give one of your weekends to the club and join us in sydney for a meet. :D

I see it like this, if I wanted to see the general sites of Sydney, I can go on holidays pretty much whenever I want... I see this TOCAU meet as an opportunity to meet other TOCAU peeps....

As for the Krispy Kreme's....IMO, they are a by-product of any trip I do to Sydney. Love them or hate them I am getting them.

So what do I want to do... Meet the TOCAU folk, sit round and tell lies, and a few light cruises (cuttin some phat one's)...

If cruising means some close mountain runs etc, yeah, let's do it....

I honestly couldn't give two shades of rat sh!t over karting. Can do that here in Brisbane, it's damn expensive, and us larger blokes tend not to have as much fun, but hey, if everyone else is going, I'll certainly come along, although I may not actually kart myself....

I'm only goin down to see Bills car!!:clap:

Na.. its all good. As with others, I'm on is trip to meet the other members and see their machines. Also this is probably the biggest cruise i'll go on (well most certainly the longest), plus i've always wanted to do the Bris-Syd drive :D hope its not over rated

I really like the idea by blue stivo on the toymods cruise with the harbour bridge n all. should be plenty of sights there to keep us out-of-towners entertained, although i been to syd 3 times already

aquagolf and KK have my vote to just chill after a long day. and not too fussed on the go-kart, if we dont go it just means more $ for fuel on the way home ;)

BTW anyone made bookings with F1 yet?

Mate! Firstly, can you please use some punctuation. I have re-written your comment for those that didnt understand it....

Yeah, the Bridge Climb is hectic. It's expensive but worth it. I haven't done it before.

Oh, and it's turning 75yo this year (not that it matters) but it'll still be hell-nice, yea?

Just don't collapse on me when we get up there, Klara. lol

Secondly, how do you know it's worth it if you haven't done it???? I have actually done it before. It costs a lot of money, takes a big chunk out of the day, and isn't really the best group activity that can be arranged for a 'CAR MEET'....

I am really thinking that this (the meet) needs to be arranged so that people attending can 'meet' the other people going there and hang out. Climbing the Bridge in my opinion, is not hanging out.

The Aqua Golf thing, nice cruise along a scenic drive to get lunch somewhere, and general 'chillin' is what I am really thinking this needs to be. We need events that people can socialise while they are doing them. Things like Putt Putt are good for this. You can chinwag while you are doing it.

What other small, low cost activities are there in Sydney that we can do like this?

Cheers

Aaron
