It depends on the driving course. A good driving course would improve the drivers mindset and habbits rather than driving skill. Driving skill is a by-product of the two things mentioned. I just hope the authorities tackle the problem at hand rather than just turning it into a vehicle for political gain (excuse the pun) :P I honestly think 50speed limits are useless. And i'm not saying it just because i like to drive fast. Solving a problem involves more than just outlawing the action that causes the problem but to tackle the root of the problem. I think better education of young drives is the right direction. Look at smoking for instance, there are far much less young smokers in the last couple of years than there was 10years ago. I am sure part of it has to do with educating the public about its effects. The more you restrict people, the more people will rebel. Dropping the speed limits or putting more speed cameras doesn't solve the problems. It will give people more motivation to find places to drive fast and dangerous. It's a human trait to break free of barriers and regain perceived "freedom" and in this case it will be to drive fast for that adrenelin rush. It's a difficult issue! With that said, who's coming on the next sydney cruise?

Hi guys. I have never experienced the gear crunch. on two occassions it got stuck in 1st and refused to come out of gear. I was trying to shift to 2nd in lift. but it hasn't done it since. I almost always land in lift while shifting now (my poor clutch) and it shifts quite smoothly now. Hmmm. I wonder what the problem could be. Just for reference, i don't get the gear rattle. How many people who have the gear rattle also have the gear jam problem? maybe it's related.

9th is carshow weekend and also Girlfriend's house party. I'm in for the 16th want to go down south this time?

Hey eddy...i've noticed the same thing. i always give it a little once i've filled up and come out of the petrol station and it seems to go a little harder. seems the round shape of the new corrola responds well after it's had a full meal :P I think i'll call my s'tivo "budda" i haven't really heard any stories about optimax. My friend who owns a twin turbo mitsu 3000 GTO swears by optimax. he's willing to drive out of his way to find a shell station for it so i guess it can't be that bad. *off topic* those 3000GTO's are rockets on wheels. so much torque. i sat in his car when he punched it under boosts....wow! my intestines hit my spine.

;) i just checked in a google search and optimax is 98octane. weird. i could have sworn that i saw some label somewhere that said optimax is only 95octane, BP ultimate and some others are 98octane and normal ULP has 92octane.

Hi. I definitely agree with the better feel at low revs. However, i have noticed that after a couple thousand k's later, the improvement is not so obvious. maybe i'm just used to it. Hey, Optimax actially has a lower octane number than other premium fuels. i use BP ultimate 98octane :D

i feel left out now man. Anybody do rollerblades? that's more my thing. my parents are still shocked i never broke anything riding blades.
